Nah, I didn't mess up the year.
I’m talking about that early investor who was already daydreaming about Bitcoin before it even hit the scene. Of course, the term "Bitcoin" wasn’t on his radar since it hadn’t been created yet. He probably didn’t even have a clue what to call this new type of asset was it private money or some electronic thing?
Sure, he didn’t have all the buzzwords down. But he had a clear vision of what he wanted and jotted down his thoughts maybe just for himself in some investment diary. He imagined an asset born from computer calculations, where its value came from the resources like computing power and electricity needed to make it work. He envisioned it hitting the market at nearly zero value, then skyrocketing in price over the years, eventually reaching a market cap on par with the biggest stocks out there. That was the gist of it, and honestly, that was all an investor really needed to know.
So why am I thinking about this old-school stuff and these unique individuals? Because I feel like we’re closing a significant chapter in crypto history in the 2020s.
Bitcoin is flying high, while other cryptos are still stuck down on Earth. Right now, Bitcoin's price is up there with the big players in the stock market, and it doesn’t even matter if it goes up even more.
