Saw this over on Stacker News. Back in late March, there was a buzz about 3000 nodes all linked to similar IPs. Turns out, these were all managed by the same group, a project named bitprojects-io. Bitprojects shared their reasoning behind the project. They also gave some insight into the connections their 3000 nodes had made. On March 30, 2026, they announced that they’d be turning off the project. As those nodes started shutting down, the ever-watchful @0xB10C noticed a spike in connections to their remaining nodes, and others on BNOC saw it too. Personally, I’m thinking of calling that site Bai-noc, like Bai-noc-u-lars. Bitprojects wrapped up with a statement that really serves as a good reminder.

Bitcoin is a trustless system not a democracy. One or few active honest nodes are enough to counter or alert the rest of the network of fraud from majority nodes. This is just an ordinary way to handle the issue. An extraordinary way will terrify or confound the attackers
