I sent some BTC from my Blockchain wallet yesterday and it’s been sitting in pending status for 26 hours now, even though I picked a fee of 62 sat/byte. If anyone knows how long it might take for my transaction to be confirmed, that would be super helpful. The mempool is becoming less congested. It is 92 sat/vbyte for high priority right now. Let us expect less congestion and you can be lucky as you use 63.154 sat/vbyte for the transaction. If you use a wallet that supports replaced-by-fee, it would be a good advice to increase the fee. The transaction is not supporting replace-by-fee. Use wallet like Electrum, Sparrow or Bluewallet nextime instead. Immediately after new hour, try to use ViaBTC free accelerator to see if it will work to accelerate the transaction.

mempool.space predicts confirmation in about an hour, but that seems very optimistic to me. My best guess based on the rate at which fees are falling is tomorrow evening or maybe the next evening (USA time). Fees are generally higher weekdays during the day and fall at night and on the weekend.

mempool's estimate is just based on the current mempool utilisation without factoring new arriving transactions in. Ie. if no other transaction would be added, the transaction would be in X hours because it's in mempool "block" X/6.

It all depends on your luck and there is no way to know when exactly your transaction will be confirmed. We can only make assumptions. It's possible that your transaction will be confirmed in the next few hours, but you need to be very lucky for that and I expect your transaction to be confirmed tomorrow or the day after tomorrow.

Like others have said before, we are facing a somewhat very unusual time regarding fees in transactions. If you want to know if your transaction will be included in the next block you can check this[1] tool. The lowest probability for a transaction to be included in the next block, with 10 % chance, is for transactions using 120 sat/vB. Considering that your fee is half than this, it won't be included in the next block and probably in the next few ones. This website[2] also shows that there are a lot of unconfirmed transactions willing to pay between 70 -150 sat/vB as fees, so your transaction will probably still linger in the mempool for a while. EDIT: I misplaced a reply here when it was intended to other topic. Sorry. [1]https://nextblock.is/ [2]https://jochen-hoenicke.de/queue/#BTC,2h,weight

Unfortunately, the network has become even more congested since you broadcasted your transaction. Yesterday, when I made a post in this thread, your transaction was around 8 vMB from the tip of mempools and it's now worse. Your transaction is now around 25 vMB from the tip of mempools. Can't expect your transaction to be confirmed anytime soon. Edit: RoatanMan, you are very lucky. I was checking if ViaBTC free accelerator is still working and since I didn't have any unconfirmed transaction, I decided to try it with your transaction and I could do that successfully. Your transaction will be likely confirmed in the next block mined by ViaBTC. They have around 12.5% of the total hash power and it's expected that they mine 1 block in every 80 minutes on average.

OP's transaction 18c685fba3fd58030e7fa75b913d48a14ec538a69e469863e7932a1e76352949 has indeed been confirmed by ViaBTC on 2024-04-24 02:43 UTC in block 840,597. Even without acceleraton by ViaBTC OP's transaction would've been confirmed latest on 2024-04-25 as mempool congestion was reduced gradually and transaction in fee range of 60sats/vB were confirmed on their own. OP can close this thread.

Try to think about this again. Is this your comment necessary? What if the mempool is still congested up till now. The transaction was submitted on ViaBTC free accelerator and it was confirmed after ViaBTC mine their next block.

I was referring to OP's transaction specificallyedited in my previous post and simply wanted to add the fact that it would've been confirmed even when hosseinimr93 wouldn't have submitted it to a free slot in ViaBTC's accelerator. If a transaction isn't urgent, you can simply wait it out, it either gets confirmed or dropped from mempools. If a transaction is timely bound, a user has to determine a suitable transaction fee so that it should've a chance to get confirmed within a reasonably sufficient time span. And this weekend the fee level for confirmation is even lower, when currently about 23sats/vB are sufficient with little ups and downs as usual. If people don't learn to look prior for current mempool levels before they make an estimate for their transaction fees or are impatient or don't remember that on weekends fees are usually lower than Mo-Fr then what?
