Hey everyone,
I’m sad to say BTCinch is shutting down. It’s been a good ride, but the legal and organizational challenges are just too much to keep it going.
User sign-ups are paused, and I’m working on turning off deposits. It's actually a bit more complicated than I thought with Bitcoin transactions. For now, you can still log in and make outgoing transactions. But tomorrow, we’ll be moving all the funds to a new wallet for the final payout and shutting down the BTCinch transaction server. Outgoing transactions will still go through for now, so you can log in and take out any money you have.
Merchants:
For at least the next two weeks, the BTCinch payment gateway will still be up and running with a different transaction server. Withdrawals and conversions will keep working as normal. By the end of the month, I’ll have new plugins ready for every cart that BTCinch supported. I’m here to help with the new plugin setup however I can.
While BTCinch's time has come to an end, I'm definitely not leaving the Bitcoin scene. If anything, this is a chance for me to reboot with a clearer view of the market. So don’t take this as a sign that Bitcoin is going downhill. Bitcoin is stronger than ever, and you should feel good about it.
Best,
Ira Miller
P.S. I’m juggling a ton of emails, Skype messages, and calls all by myself. I’ll keep checking this thread to answer any questions, but it might take a bit.
