Check out these two Citrea co-founders freaking out: https://x.com/esadyusufatik/status/1899193515235561859
The Citrea team can’t even outmine a souped-up BitAxe that’s totally dominating Testnet4... why would anyone want to work with these guys? Seriously, why would Bitcoin Core even bother with them?! Even if they manage to do something, they’re gonna need customers and so far... nada. I haven’t heard anything from regular Testnet users showing interest in Citrea, it’s mostly just devs chatting with other devs who have invested in Citrea that seem to care ironically. (I get the scoop on most things since I’ve built a solid rep in Testnet for keeping an eye on what’s happening and running my own tests.)
Blocks are getting cleared just fine in Testnet4 even with most blocks being speed-mined at difficulty 1 and no transactions in them. So what spam are we even worried about? Testnet should be wrecked if spam is an issue with users. It’s managing the load pretty impressively given the circumstances.
They complained about Testnet3, so one of their investors actually dried up the block rewards to stop devs from mining, which pushed them to launch Testnet4 for their own use. Everything they’ve attempted has had terrible, unexpected fallout (for them, thankfully). I genuinely think there could be some serious unintended consequences coming from their half-baked plans.
Now they’re struggling to mine a block on Testnet4 and asking for another reset! LOL!
If these guys can’t figure out how to manage this...
Citrea thought Testnet v3 was a mess, now they’re saying v4 is too, maybe they just can't handle it

Im using tesnet3 with no problems. There's the warning message there, but the blockchain works fine, you can send and receive transactions, what else do you want.
Jameson Lopp/Citrea is just part of the VC-backed money trying to push the Bitcoin Core V30 abomination into people so they can spam their pump and dump rugcoins on the Bitcoin blockchain anyway

Agreed.
Everyone involved directly or indirectly with Citrea is malicious. Anyone wants to prove us otherwise? The co-founder has "ordinals maxi" in his bio which indicates that he is both a scammer and a malicious actor, but hey I am glad we are removing OP_RETURN limits for their sake. This will make Bitcoin so much better.
Jameson Lopp is most definitely a bad actor sponsored by god only knows who.
Not just that, but he's one of those dumb kinda smart guys who thinks he is way smarter than he actually is and has almost no long-term attention span.
He mentioned my website in this little blog, which is part of why we've taken a fairly aggressive blockchain stance in v4. (https://blog.lopp.net/griefing-bitcoin-testnet/)
I don't understand changing Core for an ADHD spaz bad actor who gets off on drama. I've read the parrot answer from "them", but it feels so structured and unnatural.
Jameson Lopp runs a company called Casa, which offers Bitcoin storage and custody services. They also support some scammy shitcoins like Ethereum, which is a big red flag and shows what kind of people they are.
Someone should suggest them to modify Bitcoin Core and launch their own testnet network. Surely they're technically capable to do that when they claim they work on more complicated stuff (such as ZK Rollup).

If they want a more stable network than testnet3 or testnet4, then they should use their own signet. If they don't want to use signet, then they should enforce Proof of Work inside Script. If they don't know, how to make a valid sidechain, even though that knowledge is flying around for months, then they are simply incompetent.
VC's start shitcoin projects and they lobby people with bigger twitter megaphones like Jameson Lopp to promote the platforms which allow these shitcoin projects (such as Bitcoin Core v30). Just follow the VC-money. Everyone supporting v30 has some $altcoin on their twitter bio.
