Hey everyone, I've got a question about mining. Is there a way to connect a hashboard to a motherboard and get it to mine something different? Can we actually hack the sha256 or is it not related to any specific algorithm? Maybe I'm just not that familiar with ASIC miners, which is why I'm curious. Thanks!

Hello, What would be the point? What is the problem with our current control boards? ASIC = Application-Specific Integrated Circuit I have Antminers which are doing great the specific task they were made to do. Adding ASIC chips to my computer mobo would be a nonsense, and irrealistic from a practical point of view. Why not use a dedicated server designed for this specific task? Our miners are doing good in their actual shape. Sometimes things need to be kept simple. Otherwise, if you want to add 1 or 2 ASIC to your computer without the excessive noise / heat, you can always use USB ASICs (gekkoscience) but you will have only 1 chip per stick, so a very low hashrate
