Does the best share reset for solo miners after some time

Hey everyone, I’ve been tracking my total shares and the best share I’ve ever had. Recently, I hit 5.41G Shares, and my previous best was 4.81G Shares. I was expecting it to update to around 7-8G Shares, but now my best share is showing just 721.75M, like it reset or something? That "Best Share" stat gets reset whenever CKPool hits a block. So it tracks your best diff in between two blocks found by the pool.

What CY4NiDE said is spot on, "Best share" on CKPool is a per-round stat, not a lifetime score. CKPool is basically treating everyone as one big solo miner. Each time the pool actually finds a block, that round is over and a new one starts. When that happens, your "Best share" gets cleared and starts counting again from the next shares you submit. Seeing it jump from a few G down to hundreds of M doesn't mean anything broke or restarted in a bad way, it just means a block was found and the scoreboard for that round got wiped.
