Check out this report here The European Central Bank's Rulebook Development Group is working on guidelines, standards, and processes for digital euro transactions. They’ve just dropped a report on the draft rulebook, which gives us a peek into the tech side of central bank digital currencies. This group has members from industry advocates and national central banks. They kicked things off in January 2023 and have been looking into how everything will function, the overall design, and what rights and responsibilities participants will have according to the upcoming laws. Honestly, with all the varying policies among countries, it's wild how digital money is still pushing forward everywhere with solid economies. Feels like we’re heading towards some kind of digital slavery soon.

What a statement! Bingo! That's exactly it is! Imagine a world where everything is digital and under the surveillance of the government. Digital money is built to achieve this level of surveillance where every single transaction will be under government's radar. No one will be able to stack black money. So one will be able to evade taxes by under reporting their income. So money laundering activities will take place etc etc. That's exactly is the aim for governments and digital money is the smoothest way to achieve this.
