Hey folks, I've been on the hunt for active Indian crypto Telegram groups that aren’t just packed with spam or dead accounts. There are tons of crypto channels out there, but a lot of listings get outdated super fast. During my search, I stumbled upon this neat list of Indian crypto Telegram groups sorted by category and how active they are: https://telegramcryptogroups.com/blog/indian-crypto-telegram-groups/ Got a couple of questions for you all: - Are you part of any Telegram groups that focus on the Indian crypto scene? - How do you usually find reliable crypto communities? - Do you like using curated lists or do you prefer searching manually on Telegram?

Well, you're in it already and there's real engagement here. It's hard to find those crypto communities in telegram that you'll want to be that has genuine users. Because each user from different channels can just add you easily without having the need of permission to be added. That feature sucks and that's why if you're looking to get into several crypto communities in that platform, you'll only see few active users even if they have a bunch of members and they're thousands. You'll definitely question the authenticity if you're in a real crypto community channel.

I’ve noticed the same thing. I joined plenty of large Telegram groups over the years and most of them felt empty once you looked past the numbers. For me, the biggest signal is whether people actually talk to each other and not just react to admin posts. When a group stays active without constant promotions or forced adds, it usually means the community is real. That’s why I stopped paying attention to member count a long time ago — consistent discussion tells you much more than any statistic. Is that the same issue with Indian Telegram groups? I thouth its no more an issue with mass addind, espetially if its a channel not a group.

I see this as an attempt to plant backlink, LOL. Mate @Nishawa, if you're looking for authentic groups, you can find them by communicating with people from your country. The more people you know, the wider your network will expand. Look at how funny you're referring to that website, they even have "ICOSpeaks RU" at the top of the list, AFAIK, RU is a reference to Russia. Ok, 1 suggestion for you from me, you can go to Combot, then go to the India section, you will find the top groups from your country in general (not only related to crypto).

I see your comment isn’t very helpful. You’re referring to Combot, but there are actually no active Indian crypto Telegram groups listed there at all. My point is that there’s a lack of up-to-date and genuinely active crypto groups focused on India. If you know any better or more relevant channels, please share them.

That is because some members are just adding other members randomly. And that's why there's no real interaction with those type of channels. Even it has got a lot of numbers in it but the members are inactive and are just added by the members. The real intention is obvious that they want to grow the channel in numbers but not with the actuality that it should be. That's what promotions can do when the task is to add more people even if the added people are not really into that community and probably just came from other channels that they're part of.

I think that in 2026 it’s no longer possible to add users manually, especially to Telegram channels. This might have worked back in 2018–2021, but today Telegram has many built-in privacy and security settings that allow users to block or completely restrict any attempts to add them without consent.

I follow a few Indian-focused crypto groups, but honestly, most of them don’t stay high-quality for long. Once a group grows, it usually gets flooded with referral links, fake signals, or copy-paste news. For me, the most trustworthy communities are: smaller groups with active moderation discussion-based chats (not just signal drops) groups linked to real projects, founders, or local meetups I usually combine manual search inside Telegram with curated lists as a starting point. Curated lists help filter out dead or obvious spam groups, but I never join blindly — I always check recent activity, member interaction, and how moderators handle spam. Pure Telegram search rarely works well anymore, especially for regional crypto groups, so having updated lists saves a lot of time.

Apart from this forum, I do not trust any other group for a serious discussion involving money. This forum have an active Indian local board, any discussion can be done there and if you are active, you will definitely make great friends there. Most of the groups in Telegram are botted to the teeth and full of scammers, so you should be careful in joining groups and sharing your information in groups where you rarely know the intention of others.

I mostly agree — Telegram has a serious problem with bots and low-quality groups, especially around trading and signals. That’s why public forums like this one are still valuable for long-form discussions and accountability.

I use Telegram only as one source of info to be fed into the machine so to speak and aggregated.. Because usually news / things there may be flashy, but they do it for that exact reason - to be sounding flashy. But with no concrete analysis / etc.

Finding active Telegram groups is honestly harder than it used to be. Most of them turn into signal spam or go quiet after a while. I usually rely more on recommendations from other users rather than big lists, and I check how active the chat really is before joining. Smaller groups with real discussion tend to be better. Curious if anyone here has found a group that stayed useful long-term.

Lately it’s become much easier with AI tools. Instead of manually browsing lists or relying only on recommendations, you can quickly filter Telegram groups by activity, message frequency, spam level, and even discussion quality. AI-based search and analysis saves a lot of time and helps avoid dead or signal-only groups. It’s not perfect, but as a starting point it’s far more efficient than how we used to do it.

Totally agree with this approach. AI tools are great for the first filtering stage — they help quickly spot inactive groups, spam-heavy chats, or channels with fake engagement. Checking message frequency, growth patterns, and obvious spam signals with AI definitely saves a lot of time. That said, I don’t think AI can fully replace manual review. Joining a group for a few days, watching how admins moderate, how real the discussions are, and whether members actually interact is still crucial. Many groups look good on paper but feel empty or promotional once you’re inside. So for me, the best workflow is: AI for discovery and filtering → human judgment for final validation. This combination works much better than relying on either method alone.

The best "group" there is is this forum and maybe the ALTtalk forum. Depends on the targets you are setting for such groups.
