So it's July 1st and we just wrapped up the first half of 2025. Seems like every news outlet is buzzing about BITCOIN. They've been going over what went down in the first half of the year. I came across articles like "Crypto Losses Surge 125% in 2025 First Half to $2.47 Billion" talking about the massive hits the crypto scene took this year due to hacks, scams, and altcoins not living up to the hype. But one thing everyone seems to agree on is that bitcoin has solidified its place as the top-performing crypto in the first half of the year, and probably will keep doing so for the rest of it.
We're seeing headlines like "Bitcoin Carried Crypto Markets in 2025's First Half as Altcoins Crumbled" pop up, and a report even mentions that the crypto market grew by 3%, but let's be real, that's mostly because of bitcoin. Still, there's a glimmer of hope for an altcoin season. Anyway, with bitcoin up by 13% according to the article, while popular altcoins are taking a hit, it just shows how resilient bitcoin is and sets a good tone for what's ahead in the next half of the year.
Are you guys still on board with bitcoin for the next six months? Because I definitely am.
First half of 2025 has been quite ride for crypto world. Despite major losses from hacks and scams and altcoins that did not deliver Bitcoin has clearly been star propping up entire market. Even though overall crypto market only grew by 3%, that growth came almost entirely from Bitcoin strong 13% gain showing its strength and stability compared to much more up and down altcoin market. This solid performance in first six months sets strong example for remaining 2025. Bitcoin will remain main focus for investors looking for more reliable growth and many are still thinking that Altcoin season. Your confidence in Bitcoin for next six months looks smart given how it is proven to be marke reliable foundation
I think Bitcoin will be at its highest price in the next 6 months (will break price records). What I know from my personal experience is that Bitcoin will reach its highest peak in the year after the halving, especially around November-December, and I have actually seen evidence of this happening in 2017 and 2021 as well, and I believe it will happen sometime around 2025.
I am sure of this.
This is the begining of Q3 and we expect that something new and better should happen concerning the bitcoin market price, it may be the expected month for all time high and it may also come along with some bear challenge at the cause, this will all depend on the activities that are also going to accompany the economic events and the network demands, which I hope the leads to something positive about the market pumping high.
I basically believe that the best is yet to come in the second half of the year.
And as for the crypto world, considering that there are tens of thousands and new ones are being created every day, bitcoin is obviously becoming more and more dominant.
Yes, I will trust Bitcoin in the next six months or for the long term. I don't have any reason to lose my trust in Bitcoin because I got many benefits from Bitcoin since I joined. I don't care with the news that give bad precedence to Bitcoin because Bitcoin will be back with more support. If people can see what happened to Bitcoin from a year ago until now, they will see how good Bitcoin move and give them profit. With the scarcity of Bitcoin amount, that may make the price jump to a high price that we will not imagine. If we can have many Bitcoins and start it long time ago or even start it now, we will make a big profit in the near future. But investing in Bitcoin is an option and that will depend on each person.
Even if Bitcoin's price collapses by 50% or 80%, there will be those who trust it as an investment asset, or the currency's value will increase over time, so confidence in it will not be lost.
Bitcoin's price rise of an average of 13% over this long term is not an indicator of confidence; the price has actually risen much higher.
I wouldnt get too excited just yet. Historically, the real bull market tends to happen in the last quarter of the year, so Im waiting for that before making any big moves or judgments.
That said, the price has already stabilized. It dropped to around $70K earlier this year, but look at where we are now, holding strong above $100K. As long as we maintain this level, theres a high chance we could see a crazy bull run later this year, something we didnt get to experience last year.
Altcoin investors are the ones that I pity for because they are having big hopes that altcoin season is coming in this circle, whereas, bitcoin keeps dominating and nobody wants to look at these altcoins that are worthless.
Infact, I believe that henceforth, bitcoin will always be the investors choice and only new investors who don't have crypto knowledge will be deceived to invest in altcoins. Bitcoin didn't just take the lead in the cryptospace but in all asset, bitcoin has been dominating. Take a look at the institution and companies buying bitcoin aggressively this year.
Of course Bitcoin will still dominate the more as is used to be always, so there is still more time for Bitcoin to achieved before the end of the year. Because looking at the increases in Bitcoin this six months shows that there is more brighter future ahead for Bitcoin, so there is still a very big time for the new investors to utilize this opportunity. Because is pretty obvious that Bitcoin have a great future, all we just Need right now is patience and long term investment to enable us achieve our goal.
I hope that's the case, because I've seen that condition for several periods. Some Altcoins got an optimal up cycle. But some of those moments I see that moment is more difficult in every 4 years. The problem is that the broad capitalization is spread over many tokens and coins so the more choices the more we have to be careful to enter. I see on Binance these days some Altcoins are starting to rise quite big, hopefully it's a good mid-year start to the close. IMO
Putting your trust in bitcion is a no-brainer thing. Even if it's volatile, having bitcoin in your portfolio will place you in a good position in the future.
If we're talking about altcoin season, while as much as I want it to happen soon, I don't think we will experience an extreme alt season like what he had before. There's too many altcoins now and I don't think there is enough money to pump all those tokens in the upcoming alt season. Alt season will happen but only a few selected alts will pump and make a parabolic move. Only those that have real utility like AI or layer-1 tokens has the high chance to pump.
Bitcoin has performed very well this half of the year and has more room to dominate with the level of adoption going on in almost all the countries. It has a good start with pull backs but has withstood the pressure of bear.
History was made in this 6 months of this year, precisely May 22. Who remembered?... Bitcoin pizza day . The price of bitcoin surged to ATH of about $111,000, that is a mark that we are still going to keep remembering until that price is overtaken but who knows when it will happen. However, the price and dominance will keep increasing as legislation and adoption are increasing.
Bitcoin still remains the head line of the year. It truly showed it strength this half of the hear in hard times to survive all. We had many global, geopolitical crisis this year and bitcoin merely shows a significant response to them. To me it was even the main reasons why altcoins were able to stand again. Many of them fell when bitcoin rode down to $89k but just a few were able to rise back up as well. Well it's the second half of the year and we are expecting more upward push from bitcoin. It's still very bullish, but nobody can tell when a sell might bounce into the market.
Asking whether someone will trust Bitcoin for the next period is unnecessary because if Bitcoin has been the dominant cryptocurrency so far, I don't see a reason for anyone not to trust it anymore because generally you lose trust on an asset if it makes you lose money, but if an asset made you money in the last six months or so, you will surely trust it with your funds for the next six months as well.
That being said, those optimistic about an altcoin season need to understand that it's only possible if Bitcoin manages to gain a higher price from where it is right now. We all know that Bitcoin is the dictator of the market, and wherever it goes, altcoins follow, and that's because people only invest in altcoins when they see Bitcoin gaining traction, and they withdraw their investments when they see Bitcoin is losing value again.
So it won't be wrong to say that altcoins won't have a season by themselves but if Bitcoin manages to create history again by marking another all-time high in the next few months, altcoins might have a run too.
History suggests that bitcoin performs the strongest during the second half of the year. We should be familiar with the year-end rally where October to December is where bitcoin usually increases in value.
When analyzing Bitcoin's performance from 2013 to 2025, November stands out as the top-performing month with an impressive average return of 43.74%. February follows with an average return of 13.62%, boasting the highest win probability since 2014. Notably, during post-halving periods, February's returns average 40.74%.
October also shows strong results, delivering an average gain of 24% between 2015 and 2023.
I am expecting to end the year 2025 on a high note.
The second half of the year will be better. With the US signing several trade deals with different countries, we might see a more prosperous and stable economy. We might not experience any new military escalations in the Middle East, which would make oil stable. There are also predictions that there might be interest rate cuts next two Federal Reserve meetings. We might end up seeing nations/states and more businesses approving Bitcoin as reserves in the second half of the year. I am optimistic that Bitcoin will do well, so I trust it.
This year bitcoin was not as we expected. I am sure most people did not think that there would be such a high dominance. Altcoin investors lost a lot because of this and continue to lose money every day. Take a look at the price of bitcoin two months ago and the prices of altcoins. Those who invested in bitcoin this year were not upset, while other investors are having a hard time
Try asking yourself where you see a profitable investment: Bitcoin at $107,000, Ethereum at $2,450, or ATOM and Polkadot at about $4 and $3.33?
Altcoins have more risks and more profits, but each investor chooses his own strategy.
It is still seen as an investment asset by 98% of people, but if it were used as a currency, no one would have to worry about how much its price increased or decreased.
