Is it safe to overclock my S9i considering the temp?

Hey everyone, I’ve got a Bitmain S9i and I've been using Braiins OS+ since day one. I've kept the power at 1300w max because I’m worried about overheating, especially since it was running full throttle this summer with good ventilation. But now in winter, my room’s around 10°C, and the fans are only between 15 and 30%. Would cranking up the power be risky? Or does the cooler air actually help with temperature management? Appreciate any thoughts! Mickael

What I was wondering is what is most likely to damage the chips? Overheating due to not enough cooling? Or Over-frequency / over-voltage? Let's say I have an S9i with a power supply that could not be more excessive! "Like 4000w". Let's say that at 1420w it gives 16.5Th/s under Braiins OS+, air inlet temperature 25°C, fan speed 90%. Would the chips accept a setting of 2000w, if the air inlet was 3°C and the fans were at 90% ? Just curious, I don't plan to do this on my S9i! I was just wondering what would be likely to damage them first.

Overheating is the chip killer. As to what can cause it: 1. Insufficient cooling 2. OC/OV coupled with poor cooling. All OC/OV does is increase chip temperatures but provide enough cooling to make up for that and you are good..

Ok, that's why we can see S9 in watercooling with TH/s of 18 ? So even if you increase the power and the voltage, theoretically there should be no problem as long as the cooling is optimal? Also I imagine that it could be reliable on S9, but much less on S17 Pro or S17+ ?
