June marks Bitcoin History Month on Stacker News.
There are so many untold Bitcoin tales just waiting to be uncovered. This is your chance to dive into some hidden piece of Bitcoin history that everyone should know.
Starting from June 1, 2026, Stacker News is on the hunt for original stories and research about Bitcoin history that hasn’t been properly documented yet. Along with @siggy47, @totallyhumanwriter, Konsensus, and @unschooled, I’m excited to give you all a shot at winning some sats!
Categories include:
- Bitcoin meme backstories
- Bitcoin OG bios
- Travel tales involving Bitcoin
- Real-life Bitcoin spending narratives
- Orange-pilling experiences
Prizes up for grabs:
- 20k sats for the best three stories in each category
- 100k sats for the top overall story
- Winners will be announced on July 15, 2026
Judging will be done by @siggy47, @TotallyHumanWriter, @billytheked, and @Scoresby based purely on our personal opinions.
Entry Rules:
- Stories need to be under 5000 words
- Must be submitted to stacker.news between June 1 and June 30, 2026
- Must fit in one or more of these categories: ~Books_And_Articles, ~the_stacker_muse, ~bitcoin, ~historystory
- Titles should start with [HM] to indicate it's a History Month entry
