Hey there. So, here goes. About a year back, I decided to create my own Layer 1 blockchain using Rust. I did it all by myself, funding it all out of my pocket. Why, you ask? That's a whole other story, happy to share if anyone's interested. Anyway, I launched the mainnet on April 26, and it’s been running smoothly for over a week now without any node crashing. Thought it was about time to share it with folks who actually understand this stuff. My family just gives me blank stares when I try to explain it. First things first. I’m not here to sell anything. No prices, no links to buy in, no hype about "x100 moonshot". I'm really looking for a genuine discussion with knowledgeable people because working solo makes it easy to miss your own mistakes. Plus, after a year of this, I’d love for someone to take a look at what I’ve created. Here’s what I've built. It’s an L1 in Rust with sled as the storage layer for now. Just to be clear, sled is just a temporary solution. I know what people say about it, the durability problems, and that Tyler pretty much stopped supporting it. I chose it initially for its pure-Rust compatibility and ease of integration. It’s holding up fine right now, but I plan to switch it out. That’s where I’d love your feedback what should I consider for the migration? I’ve been thinking about RocksDB and Pebble, leaning a bit towards Pebble, but I’m not set on it. If anyone here has practical experience with either in a blockchain setup, I’d really appreciate some honest advice.
