So, I've got a bigger family now, but my income hasn't gone up. I'm working on a farm and somehow managing to keep things afloat, but it's getting tough. My kid just started school, and now I've got to deal with all these fees school fees, transportation, and lunch costs. Honestly, by the end of the month, I'm stressing about how to make everything work with my paycheck while also covering all these extra education expenses. How do people balance all this with a low income?

This is a very sad situation that is a challenge to many households, when their expenses grow faster than their income. In this case, the first thing you are to do is to restrategize, which in detail means you should cut costs where necessary, and also separate your needs from your wants. Focus on the important things and the daily necessities of life, like food, shelter, and others. The best way to achieve this is by budgeting, which will help you outline the cost of everything. You should also think of an alternative job, like a side hustle, that will support you, or even work overtime to get more money.

If you earnings can't cope with expenses... this is just math and based on your savings, I would not expect any surprise. First of all, save your coins. Unless you have no other options, these are your "plan B". My suggestion for the rest. Create a plan of your income and expenses trying to optimize the various flow and optimizing the total of your expenses. Its best to cut immediately all things that you can cut. I know that seems impossible but there are always many solutions (like avoiding paying late bills, buying bulk food and so on). Don't get fooled in some strange investment stacking airdrop program of whatever. You cannot see immediate a change, but in the long term (1-4 years) you will see an impressive change. Even a small saving each year could bring a decent profit in this time frame.

What you can do in the meantime is to reduce your expenses and allocate funds that are not essential to more pressing matters. That way, you can maintain financial stability and avoid spending money on unnecessary things. However, this is only a short-term solution, because in the future you may encounter unexpected circumstances that will cause you to spend more money, and this will affect your finances. Therefore, you need to consider finding additional income to cover your needs and maintain your financial. There is no other way, because you cannot continue to cut back on spending indefinitely, you need to think about savings, etc, for the future of your children and family.

@OP no offense and I'm not trying to be mean, but your thread remind me with this thread To have kids or not to? Your opinion from economy perspective This is what your post in that thread, by using your logic, you shouldn't complain about your current financial situation because for you it's completely fine to not have enough money as long as you have kids because that's your core happiness. So I don't understand why you created this thread for?

There's no other way than to supplement your income by finding a side job. Many people currently earn just enough, and sometimes even that isn't enough. Having a side job can help you make ends meet or even generate a small profit by leveraging your skills, services, online work, and so on. And there's no point in minimizing expenses just because they're temporary, as we'll still face unexpected expenses, and these need to be accounted for. Therefore, increasing or improving our sources of income is the best way to cope, because in a situation like this, we're required to be independent, as no one will care about us except our own struggles and hard work.

Firstly, you have to cut off some unnecessary expenses that will not add value to you.manage your little resources with your your immediate family. Don't owe too much if your income is little.avoid expensive clothes, don't leave in an apartment if your salary cannot pay it twice.Buy needs and not want . unnecessary contributions should be avoided since you barely feed your family. Don't leave a fake life trying to impress anyone because it's not worth it. Try to balance your income with your expenses.

You need to work more to add another income. No way. Also here: Bitcointalk Signature Campaigns (Long-Term): You're already posting. Advance your rank (get more Merit!) and apply for a signature campaign run by a legitimate project. This is passive income tied to your forum activity.

Most times we're the cause of our problems in cases like this because once we begin to earn money probably there's an increase to our incomes, we don't maintain our previous standard lifestyle or stick to the responsibilities that'd enable us meet their needs and also be able to make some savings. So some people may tend to live higher expensive life and extends their responsibilities to family members and at that point your that admired income flows won't be enough for sustainability or to encourage increase on investment portfolio. (Usually, it's always that the higher the income grows is higher the expenses) and expectations will come from family members. Sometimes there're actually some secondary family members that their demands should be avoided and faces the primary families who're your core responsibility. So you can be able to manage your low income responsibly while mitigating on how to explore.

I have only one thing to say since I am not experienced in things like this. What I have to say is that your family should know how much you earn and how you spend your money a month. It may seem like nothing, but this would help. They may see you working and always wondering how your money is never enough, but if the whole household knows how much you earn and how much you spend each month, they will understand and also cut down on their expenses. A lot of men don't let their household know how much they earn, but as a family, I think they should know. This way, it's easier to convince them to cut down on certain expenses or be patient when they need something. Let them know that you earn low with a lot of bills to cater for each month, then you all make a plan together. A plan on how money should be spent. The plan doesn't have to be very strict; there should be a margin for error. Another thing I would like to say is, don't add any more family members. Be it relatives coming to stay with you or you having more children. It's already a burden as it is, so it doesn't make sense to add more.

You have a few options. You either increase your income by starting a business or getting a side hustle or you seek other options to finance your child's education. I don't know how old your child is,  but children who are less than five years old can be homeschooled. At this age, they don't engage in many academic activities that cannot be learned at home. If your wife or any other relatives have a sound educational background, your child can be homeschooled until you upgrade your income. Alternatively you could look for a cheaper school.

What efforts have you made? I mean, this was all in your plans and preparation at least months in advance, right? By the time it arrived, everything should have been partially under control because you've already started first. You may need a more specific solution depending on where you live. In my area, for certain jobs (especially in agriculture and small business), one can request am extra portion of the work for additional pay.

Are you budgeting? In this situation, it is essential to analyze your income and expenses so that you can allocate every cent you are going to earn on paper before the month begins. Agreed. Signature campaigns are anything but passive. Do you understand the concept of passive income?

There will be a way for you to balance your finances. Mostly wife can manage finances better than a husband. If necessary, both husband and wife will take part time jobs to fill their needs and have more sources of income. It is difficult but you should believe that you can fill your family's needs. The important thing is that you can reduce unnecessary needs and save more money. You can adapt to the new situation because many people are doing the same. Please don't give up on your situation.

As a man, it is constant that we get a lot of responsibilities on our shoulder that keeps on growing every now and then. there is nothing you can do about it but there are ways that you can make plans such that as your responsibility grows, you can equally grow with it. as you earn, reinvest into things that makes you better positioned financially. depending on salary alone can not take you so far as long as the issue of finance is concerned so as much as you are earning, it is expected that you are also investing your income into other areas that will lead to further increase in your income. even if you are an high income earner, the place of doing proper investment can not be over emphasized. for you to effectively balance your income and expenses, you have to learn the art of budgeting, effective spending, investing and getting yourself constantly relevant such that you can easily cease any opportunity that comes your way.

You are not the only one facing this challenge, it is the same for every responsible men on here, we have families to feed and bills to settle, it has become extremely harder to invest in peace and have some money aside for yourself. It is no wonder they say that money can never be enough for the rich, because they will always look for more, in today's time family men needs to keep evolving, expanding their income source so that they can become capable of expenses on their families. Some bills can't be avoid so I don't have an advice for you, all you have to do is work on increasing your income, I am sorry there is nothing I can say than this, don't give up.

Seek support from relatives, Churches and/or support groups like so called Non Profit organizations. But if it's a shameful thing to do or for whatever reason you don't think it will be that easy for you to do, then homeschool them both online and offline. There are lots of knowledge resources for children that can be found online. You could find ways to align them with your country's school curriculum for your children education level, and probably also use the country's school timetables. The mother or elder should guide them through the online classes when they need help. A suitable online class should have clear and repeated video and audio tutorial for kids, with tests and exams. Now a time would come when it becomes abit difficult to move your kids to higher classes in conventional schools or to work in companies as adults, if they did not go through approved schools with required certifications, but they could easily scale through that part if they are brighter than the standard set by the schools. This is why it's important to focus on good and adequate knowledge for them rather than putting them through conventional school system. I personally prefer to homeschool my kids with good/sound knowledge that will be way better than what they could learn from worldly schools. It's the kind of knowledge that makes people good quality leaders in all aspects of life. . Also hope you find (or complement your work with) the right kind of work/works that earn you enough, assuming what you earn isn't enough. Lots of times what we earn is enough but people are not very prudent in spending, or don't know the right kind of things to spend on while avoiding the bad or unnecessary things. If yours is this case, then focus on what is necessary and good and avoid the bad and unnecessary things. They could be mostly things that help you earn more income. Use cheap and good alternatives to the expensive ones. Doesn't matter if they are used stuff

You need to plan carefully and disciplinedly to balance low income and high expenses. Get into the habit of recording every expense to understand where the money is spent, then you have to choose primary expenses as a priority and identify expenses that are not too urgent. You also have to be more active and creative in looking for ways to increase your income, such as looking for part-time work or utilizing your skills to slowly get out of difficult situations. Op, I know you can do something that can balance income with expenses, rest assured, after the storm there will be a rainbow.

There is no other solution with that problem LDL but to keep on looking for ways to increase your income. Because if you remain on that amount of income monthly, you'll struggle with the same problem the next month. But if you ever find another side hustle that increases your income, that helps you to go through with that problem and something might happen by the next month and you'll feel the changes when you've got a higher income compared to the last months. It's hard to do that in your situation but it's all what it takes for you to solve it.

Situations like this are not too difficult if you want to tell yourself the truth, if you are a low income earner, there are some provinces that you are supposed to stay, the schools in those areas and transportation and feeding are still a bit relatively cheap for your affordability, you can relocate your family to those areas and go to visit them once or twice every week, depending when you find another job that pays higher, then you bring them back. What I've learnt over the years is that, every city and every country in the world, has decent areas you can afford depending on the kind of salary you earn.
