Back when I started with Bitcoin ages ago, I realized it was a pain to get my hands on Testnet Bitcoin compared to Mainnet coins. It was tough to score large amounts unless you were mining or coding or knew someone who did.
In 2022, we launched the first “open-air” Testnet/Bitcoin exchange on FreeBitcoins.com, which is now AltQuick.com. Since then, tons of people have asked me for Bitcoin Signet. I held off for years, worried about centralization and all that jazz, but I eventually figured out that just because someone has the means to mess with others doesn’t mean it'll end well for them.
Honestly, why would you trust a billion-dollar “trustless” network if the devs are out there causing trouble for people just trying to do their thing or test stuff? It’ll definitely be something to watch.
So here it is... the first Signet and Bitcoin exchange! In our first week, we’ve already helped move over 50,000 Bitcoin Signet!
