Finally posting here after years of just lurking. This forum has been through a lot, from ICO hype to mining setups and debates about fees. So I’ll be straightforward and get right into it.
I’ve never bought Bitcoin. Not even once. And I think that’s important for what I created.
HOW I DISCOVERED BITCOIN
Back in 2010, I was up late reading tech blogs, you know, the ones where only a few people comment and they all have usernames. Someone shared a link to Satoshi's whitepaper, and I read it all in one go.
Not long after that, I started lurking on here. I kept up with the cypherpunk discussions, early mining conversations, and the debates over whether this was going anywhere. I witnessed the 2011 bubble rise and crash. I saw 2013 go completely wild from the sidelines.
The thing is, I couldn't invest anything. My finances were so tight that I couldn’t afford to experiment, no matter how intriguing it seemed. So I just watched. Very closely. For years.
I never mined. I never traded. I never had a wallet with any coins in it.
But I was present. I read every single thread. I felt the collective fear when Mt. Gox went down in 2014, and it honestly felt like the whole movement could vanish overnight. I followed the block size wars like they were a sport. I saw the institutional wave hit around 2020 and felt a permanent shift in the air.
