So I’m kicking off this new project that looks to tackle the huge energy and computing issues with current mining practices. I’ve come up with a unique and super efficient algorithm that’s not like proof of work or proof of burn. I'm calling it "derroi/lines". With the crazy amounts of computing power needed for big coins like Bitcoin, it’s no surprise that governments and businesses are pouring money into mining, which raises big concerns, especially for the environment. But hey, with the "derroi/lines" algorithm, we’ve got a solution.
Unlike proof of work, which requires tons of resources to crack complex math problems and makes it harder as the network grows, this approach is efficient with "ASICs" (some coins rely on other methods like "CPU" or "GPU" depending on what they need). "Derroi/lines" makes great use of "CPU/GPU/RAM/storage/bandwidth" resources. Think of it like a lever; when you use your computer, it’ll tap into all of its capabilities. We’ve also addressed a long-standing issue in proof of work: botnets. Sure, it might sound a bit wild, but I’ll be sharing all the details on my website https://derroilines.org soon, so keep an eye out!
