OPERATOR ZERO (OP0)
SHA256 · Designed for BitAxe/NerdAxe Miners · Up to 1.2 TH/s per miner
"From One to All"
Hey everyone. I created a little SHA256 coin just for BitAxe and NerdAxe miners. Thought I’d share here in the Discussion section while I work on getting enough activity for the Announcements board. I'm here to answer any questions you might have.
THE ISSUE
Back in 2009, Satoshi was mining Bitcoin using a CPU. Fast forward to 2013, and it required GPUs. Then in 2016, ASICs came into play. Now in 2024, you’re looking at needing $50 million and a direct connection to Bitmain to even think about mining.
The leading three mining pools command 64% of Bitcoin's total hash rate. Regular folks have struggled to get a fair shot at Bitcoin mining for over ten years.
That’s where OP0 steps in.
WHAT IS OPERATOR ZERO?
OP0 is a SHA256 cryptocurrency with a simple rule: no more than 1.2 TH/s per miner.
It’s aimed at BitAxe and NerdAxe compact open-source ASIC miners (priced between $200 and $500, consuming around 15W). Think of it as something you could easily fit on your desk next to your coffee mug.
With everyone restricted to smaller devices, your BitAxe won’t be in competition with huge mining farms anymore. It’ll be going head-to-head with other BitAxes.
