Hey folks, Paxful locked my account over three years ago without giving any reason, and my funds are stuck. Since then, I've reached out to their support countless times, but I always get the same generic replies: 🔹 "Your account is under review." 🔹 "We understand how frustrating the wait is, please be patient." 🔹 "We'll get back to you as soon as we can." 🔹 "Your account is still securely frozen." Then, in 2023, they completely banned my account. At first, I thought it was a good thing because maybe they'd finally release my funds. But NO now my account is both banned and frozen! Paxful's dashboard says: "You've already sent out your balance. You may only send out your balance once." But my money is still trapped there! I've noticed a lot of other people are dealing with the same problem. Has anyone here managed to get their funds back from Paxful? Any tips on legal steps or what to do next would be super helpful.

You should open a thread about your case in the Scam Accusations section instead (Bitcoin Forum>Economy>Trading Discussion>Scam Accusations). You're more likely to find other people going through the same experience as you. Did Paxful send you the link or the ID of the transaction made to send back your funds BTW? If yes you will need to show the receiving address doesn't belong to you but to someone else actually  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=83.0

I know about this case My bitcoin is frozen at Paxful and they won't let me withdraw it, which was resolved positively after about 2 years. Honestly, it all seems pretty non-transparent and amateurish to me - because whatever it is, there's no justification for it to last for years. Considering the people behind that platform, nothing can surprise me - I just hope that someone serious will hire a lawyer and seek justice in court. @hoodl.me, I don't know if you have any significant funds there, but if you do and if the funds are clean (you can prove the origin), then you have no choice but to find a good lawyer and sue them. An even better option is to find more people who are in a similar situation and file a lawsuit together.

Thanks for the reply and support! Really appreciate it. They didn’t send any transaction ID or proof of any withdrawal - just the same copy-paste nonsense about ‘funds being frozen’ and ‘under review.’ (for 3 years!!!) My balance is still fully visible in my dashboard, yet they claim I can’t access it. What I Have Figured Out So Far: Paxful shut down in April 2023 after its co-founders accused each other of money laundering, sanctions evasion, and misappropriation of funds. All accounts were marked as banned. They stopped serving U.S. customers due to regulatory issues, avoiding legal consequences while keeping funds locked. They make withdrawals nearly impossible with endless verification loops, copy-paste responses, and hidden support contacts. You’ll find countless stories of people losing their funds with no resolution.Out of all cases, only 2-3 users managed to withdraw by putting serious public pressure on Twitter/X or other crypto communities. Does anyone know Paxful’s current official company name, responsible person, and actual address? The only address listed on their official website (in tiny font) leads to a BBQ Tavern in Delaware 🤡. It seems like they are deliberately hiding this information. If anyone has legit details, please share!

Paxful is operating under the same name. Earlier they had an internal issue where they to shut down the business for a short period of time and a new exchanges in the name of "noones" appeared in the market. It seems this new exchange holds the responsibility of funds before they part ways. You may want to check with them. But I believe noones was hacked a couple of weeks earlier. So not sure if your fund is still available with them or not. But that's where you can check once.

This issue is another lesson about not using a self-custodial wallet as storage. Aside from the noone hack, which happened days ago, the chance of OP getting the fund back is slim. I said it because I believe the OP was talking about the Paxful shutdown, which happened years ago, and the platform informed all their users to withdraw their funds before the shutdown date. From the record, OP was not the only one who lost funds due to the shutdown.

Can't agree more! Keeping funds in exchange brings in substantial risk. People should be knowing this by now after so many hacks every single year. And you are right, Paxful actually sent out emails to withdraw funds before they closed down. If not done at that time, it's highly unlikely that someone will refund that money to OP. Legally they have no obligation as they have informed the users multiple times. If someone in Paxful is so kind enough to fight for OP, then there's some hope. But it's highly unlikely to happen..

Just to clarify - I wasn’t keeping funds on Paxful like a wallet, I was simply exchanging USD to BTC. My funds were frozen a full year before Paxful shut down in 2023, and then my account was banned in 2023. I never received any emails or notifications about withdrawals. In fact, I only noticed the ban myself because I log in every month to check the status of their so-called ‘review’ and send emails to their ‘support.’ My funds are still visible in my account, so it’s not like the platform was hacked or lost the funds - they are simply refusing to return them and keep sending the same copy-paste response: "under review, please wait, we will let you know ASAP" This is not "too bad, you missed your chance" - Paxful has been deliberately stalling, refusing to explain anything, and blocking users from accessing their own money. That’s the real issue here. What’s the actual name and address then? In this document, there are three different Paxful names, but none seem up to date. The address listed on their site leads to a BBQ Tavern 🍖 Another address I found (3422 Old Capitol Trl PMB 989) is undeliverable according to the BBB: BBB Report If Paxful is still operating under the same name, then where exactly are they legally registered now? I just checked their website, it seems that Telegram link is expired, but they post regularly on X and Facebook. Have you tried to contact them there?

Thank you! I’ve tried posting and commenting on Reddit and X, but Paxful just ignores and deletes complaints. Still, it might be worth trying to contact them directly there

It's worth a shot. In any case it is good that you opened thread about your issue, even if it won't help you directly. It could help someone to double check who to deposit their funds to when looking for exchange.
