Hey everyone, I have a few questions for an academic project. Appreciate any help! How is the voting process set up for miners to approve a soft fork? Who starts the voting, reaches out to miners, and waits for them to accept or reject? How do miners get the voting info, how do they see it, and what’s the process for them to vote yes or no? Basically, if anyone has insights on how this miner voting stuff works, I’d love to hear it. Sorry if my English isn’t perfect. Thanks a lot for your assistance!

I would start with these 2 links: https://bitcoin.stackexchange.com/questions/56924/what-does-signal-and-lock-in-mean-in-a-bip https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bitcoin_Improvement_Proposals Possibly the first one already gives you the "superficial" info you need.
