So is the sleep mode actually dependable?
I’m curious if I can safely leave my S19k Pro on, put it into "sleep mode", and then walk away, knowing I can start and stop mining remotely whenever I want. Can I trust it won’t just shut down, reboot itself, or lose connection as long as my internet is good? And what if the power goes out and comes back on later?
Anyone here with experience on this?
I used sleep mod when mine was too hot 🥵.

I would say they were okay for the most part but not 99% more like 97%
I in 30 times it did not work correctly.
whatsminers 50 s were better when set to idle.
Oh, that gives me an idea. I have some temp monitors over Z-Wave (OpenHAB) and MQTT. I could put something together where if certain temp thresholds are met I could start/stop miner through sleep mode. That is assuming I could send commands to the S19 via some kind of API.
It is reliable in the way that it will stay sleep. Even after power going out, coming back, etc.
You can also try alternative firmwares like BRAIINS which have nice features like auto tune and an GRPC API.
On stock firmware you can't set a time to mine only on selected hours the unit once you set it to sleep it will stay in idle mode.
What you need is scheduler if you want to mine only on selected hours, Braiins OS have this feature you can boot your unit with this OS and and you will need cron to be able to use the scheduler feature.
