Roger Ver Arrested for Alleged $50 Million Tax Fraud

So, Roger Ver, the guy they used to call "Bitcoin Jesus," just got arrested in Spain after the U.S. Justice Department hit him with tax evasion charges. The indictment, which came out Monday, claims he dodged nearly $50 million in taxes, plus he’s facing accusations of mail fraud and filing fake tax returns. According to the DOJ, he supposedly misled the IRS about how much Bitcoin he and his companies actually had. The feds say he was supposed to report capital gains on his tax returns from selling his "worldwide assets," including Bitcoin.
