Hey everyone,
We’re in the process of creating a this forum where you can take part using Bitcoin message signatures instead of traditional accounts.
We want to host a reward event, but before we settle on the topic, we’re looking to get some ideas from the community.
What’s one question you’ve always wanted to throw at Bitcoin holders?
It could be:
- An open question or
- A multiple-choice question (feel free to throw in some options)
Really appreciate any thoughts you have.
It may seem strange, but I personally wouldn't want to ask such questions because I believe people should keep their finances private. Nowadays, anyone who reveals that they are an investor in cryptocurrencies is taking a risk.
Yet if someone were to ask the question "why are you investing in Bitcoin"?, most would answer very simply "for profit".
I've always been the inquisitive type and trust me, I have so much of questions to ask if I could meet one. But the one thing I'd love to know so much is "what gave that push that made you think of investing in Bitcoin?" Everyone of course would have their different factors that have them that drive to invest and trust me, I'd love to hear them all speak about their experiences because it's definitely going to teach me a lot.
As someone who could be said to be new to the BTC world, I only have 1 question for those who have entered before me. The question is:
(1) Of all the cycles BTC has gone through, of all the rejections & acceptances it has gone through, what do you think is the most important lesson?
I'm really curious what all those old holders are thinking, it's sure to be an interesting discussion.
If I had to ask Bitcoin holders one question, it would definitely be At what point would you admit your thesis on Bitcoin was wrong?
A lot of surveys ask why people are bullish but few explore falsification. Understanding what would change someones conviction might reveal more about Bitcoins real strengths and weaknesses than asking why they believe in it.
Finally, tying participation to message signatures sounds interesting but I'm very curious to know how youll handle privacy and Sybil resistance.
The most important lesson is that you should trust yourself and the technology on which Bitcoin was launched and runs. If you understand the basics (and a little more than that), then you won't fall under the influence of various characters like Buffett and his ilk who will die with the idea that BTC is a scam. If I had listened to him and some of the people around me, I would not have a single satoshi today.
I've never thought of a question I was going to ask a bitcoin holder, and right now I came across this discussion, I tried thinking of a posible situation question to ask a bitcoin hodler and no genuine question could come to my mind, which shows that there is nothing want to ask a bitcoin hodler that I don't really know myself since I am a bitcoin hodler too..
To be more honest though, I do not think this forum is the best place for you to ask this question because the chances you won't get any answers is high, you need to ask this type of question on a social media where there aren't many bitcoin hodlers, there, you can get answers from people who would say that would ask a bitcoin hodler they they choose to hold bitcoin, but here, that kind of response will be be very awkward, newbieish and and even annoying to some users.
In my case, the most important question is what mistakes they made in their investments that they might not have expected. Or did they face any mistakes despite having proper planning or management? If there are indeed people who faced some mistakes despite having proper planning. I want to learn from their mistakes and be aware so that I never have to face those mistakes.
OP could of parsed hundreds of replies there to put it into his work, but I think he created this thread because he wanted a brand new topic for his brand new idea.
The idea of being an early bird to bitcoin investment right from the time it began to these days, we have discovered that a lot of people have the opportunity of being informed about Bitcoin not just by the virtue of the kind of company they keep.
I can have such a question for someone, how was the first encounter with bitcoin and by whom were they informed on a possible investment opportunity in Bitcoin right from the start?
I have no questions about that to ask them because privacy is important.
What I want to say is, go ahead if the goal is positive and useful for the public who want security and to improve the uniqueness of the designed system.
I will support it, and I believe people will also believe in it if the main goal is good and does not deviate.
The lesson is damn simple and straight forward and it's the fact that after every DIP comes a bull that takes us further where we've been at the time of the DIP. That after all the criticism bitcoin had gone through it's still relevant till date is a big lesson that there's no serious cause for alarm because the future is certainly better than the present.
Being a part of the community for this long and seeing threads that came up at the time bitcoin was down and how that those thread aren't relevant any longer, the take away is that whatever is happening now is temporary and doesn't affect what will eventually come out in years or months to come.
