Let’s take a closer look at the Hotmine CM-1. It’s a quiet and practical miner perfect for home use.
Here are some key points:
This model features a power supply that cools passively, along with special radiators designed to dissipate heat from the chips without any noise.
1. It has 165 14nm Clarke chips plus 15 BF180 control chips, giving it a hashrate of 8TH/S with a power draw of 60 W/THs. So, that’s around 8 THs/600W or 72W per THs if you factor in power supply efficiency. This is the best energy-saving mode.
2. The noise level is 36 dB, which is about the same as a typical fan or air conditioner you have at home.
3. Dimensions are 450 x 100 x 1200mm.
4. It operates well at 85 °C (optimal for the Clarke chips), with working conditions ranging from 0 °C to 30 °C. The max temperature it can handle is 65 °C.
There are thermal images showing the temperature on different parts of the convector and the internal boards with chips:
5. It weighs 15 kg.
6. The design is simple and minimalistic, and it’ll be available in white, gray, and black.
7. Comes with WiFi connectivity.
8. Features a custom control panel:
9. The boards are uniquely designed for Clarke chips.
10. Case and radiators are also custom-designed and made in Ukraine.
11. This silent convector is capable of heating up to around 10 square meters.
"It shows promise as a solid next-gen miner, aimed at the same crowd that uses Antminer R4.
And it's a cool alternative for heating rather than a standard electric heater."
So what else could you want? A quiet miner that’s efficient...

price seems high but maybe i read translation wrong.
62 watts a th is okay for a quiet space heater.
I read this in the morning and didn't follow to the website. I like it overall it's a neat silent heat option for an office space or something. A larger design with the ability to heat rooms would be neat to see. The price is a killer for most though like Phil mentioned - 1800 USD is what I assume it was saying.
When it comes to being a heater - the efficiency doesn't really matter. Keeping the noise down is the biggest concern. A power hungry beast just allows more heat into the room, if you can downclock it through settings then it can be tweaked to comfort. That's they type of model I would want to see, a 5 month heater (depending on location) with the added benefit of mining BTC.
What are you specifically interested in? Would you like to see how it heats up and heats the room?
As for price, yes it is a killer, but for this moment R&D plus hardware the price cannot be lower than $1 800... So a good mood and a batch for the production of 1000 convectors guarantees the cost of Hotmine CM-1 at $1 600, and for the batch of 10 000 convectors - $1 400.
We will try to display the convector as much as possible in the work: the room temperature, the warm-up rate of the device, as well as the room heating in the next video on our YouTube channel. A link to the video will also be published in this thread.

Well lets say you use a space heater all year round. I actually do know of a few office spaces that do. As they have no control over the ac or the heat.
And they have too much ac in the summer
and they have too much heat in the winter.
I have 3 2gpu card pc's mining in an office like this. this pc's use 1080ti's and were purchased in 2017.
They do 330 watts each and are quiet to build something close right now I would need to spend 3600 which is equal to 2 of these units.
both use 1000 watts. 16th is about $4.30 a day since I would already use a space heater that is all profit.
my gpus make about the same $4 a day.. So if you are a very specific user of space heaters the gear almost makes some sense.
4.30 a day x 900 days = 3870 just a little cheaper and these would be okay for the right person. A person that uses a space heater 24/7/365.

Yes sir! Gpu of 210 Mh/s / 1000 W equal to $1.90 per day taking into account the cost of electricity and these would be okay for the right person
It is also be okay for the right person from bitcoin/ASIC community to use Hotmine CM-1 and make $1.65/day depends of btc cost, taking into account the cost of electricity, quietly heating space.
I like this idea, would love to see the product in action and final design. Will keep an eye open.
My kids apartment could use 3 of these for about 5 months of the year but $1,800, ouch.
Any clue how many BTU generates?

3 of them do 1500 watts or about 5100 btu it would be costly and the 5 month usage makes them not "free" all year round
Its a great piece of gear at a not so great price.

Well it appears to produce the same 8 TH than the R4, but at what wattage, 500w?
Passive cooling sounds interesting, where does the 40db come from? Its psu?
15Kg is like 3 times heavier than the R4
Price is, a bit expensive, but so was the R4. At this point in time spending the same amount for 8 THs i'm not sure its worth. You could take something like a damaged S17/S15 with just two or one working boards and achieve the same or better.
Don't get me wrong, silent miners are important, i welcome this addition. Would love to see something with MicroBT or Bitmain newer chips...
Yes, in the most energy efficient mode, it shows 8 THs/500 W now. 900W/11TH - in maximum mode. Modes depend on external conditions (temperature), Hotmine CM-1 himself adapts to them Smart guy...)
40 db - it is veryquiet noise, like noise from a laptop at low revs. It seems that there is a movement inside, and a sensitive sound meter can hear this noise.
Yes, it is psu, but without fans, passively cooled.
I think it pays for itself in 24 months if you consider the electric bill as if it where a regular space heater cost.
Something to ponder.

30 months = 900 days x 2.30 usd a day = 1860 so if you need to use a space heater 24/7/365
it pays off in 30 months. if you need it ½ the year it takes 60 months.
not counting diff and coin price.
Insider Information. We are going to go to the crowdfunding indiegogo to reduce the cost of the device
Wow,
that's actually a very interesting idea.
Please do share the indiegogo when it is up
How does this reduce cost? Please explain as I don't understand how that works.
Maybe they are trying to raise the production quantity and thus reduce the price per unit?
I've seen a lot of companies on Kickstarter do that. They will establish levels and perks for each level of funding/purchase, they range from just a thank you to extra features or discounts based on quantity.
It really is a neat idea, just way too expensive for most residential elec rates.
Oh, got it, maybe that will bring it to the tiping price.
Heh - not a chance in hell any miner like this would still be making money in 30 months from now.
