hey everyone, it's ili "again". Since Tari isn't super popular yet, I wanted to start this thread to spread the word. Tari has two layers: Layer 1: Minotari (XTM) Standard: This is your typical blockchain that creates blocks every couple of minutes. Protocol: It runs on the Mimblewimble protocol, which is all about privacy, scalability, and fungibility. Mining Algorithms: What makes it unique is its four mining algorithms: SHA3X: Made just for ASIC miners. Cuckaroo29: Designed for GPUs (some folks in the community want this switched for something stronger). RandomX: Tailored for CPU mining. RandomX with Monero: When combined with Monero’s RandomX, it really helps spread out the network. Layer 2: Tari (XTR) "Ootle" Generation: You can create XTR by burning XTM L1 tokens at a 1:1 ratio through a dynamic "Throttle" mechanism or turbine model. Purpose: XTR is intended for private digital applications and assets. Scalability: It’s got infinite scalability thanks to the Cerberus Model, which was originally developed by Radix and then adapted for Tari. Basically, the more nodes there are, the faster it runs. Key Highlights & Future Outlook Licensed Stablecoin Issuer: Once Layer 2 goes live, we’ll have a Licensed Stablecoin Issuer on the network (with all the transparency needed for licensing). Regulatory Innovation: This could totally reshape the network and might just make Tari the first regulated privacy blockchain. It gives users privacy while still following global laws.
