so there's this testnet 4 faucet at https://mempool.space/testnet4/faucet apparently, the sparrow wallet is cool with it. just download or update and restart on testnet 4. the derivation path is m/86'/1'/0'. check out https://vkbit.com. it's a solo usb pool with around 500 TH, and they also have a testnet 4 pool. I saw on https://testnet.vkbit.com that they've got 575 TH/s pointed at the testnet? I looked a few minutes ago. this guy just popped up a few weeks back with a plan, running a pool with 4-500 TH/s. he’s running a usb solo pool with over 2k users? sounds shady to me. they claim to be the only testnet 4 pool, which is probably true, but the questions his users are asking show they don’t really get what solo mining is yet. and get this, he actually provides an address? what even... honestly, it’s kind of entertaining to see some of these questions. if you check https://mempool.space/testnet4/mining/pool/unknown, it looks like those coins aren’t even all his. follow his address, and you’ll notice none have left the wallet? I was keeping an eye on it because I’m curious how he plans to handle everything. he’s already mined thousands of testnet blocks with a 50 tBTC subsidy! it’s just the newbies getting ripped off on their mining education. really ticks me off. I think we can all agree that those who bought a usb miner are looking for a "chance lol" but they seem clueless about testnet. it looks like they think they’re contributing a lot. if this is legit, then hundreds, if not more, are getting scammed by this testnet trick. maybe someone with more know-how can verify this.
