Hey everyone. I’ve got a soundproof box for one of my Antminers and I'm on the hunt for some temperature sensors. I need something that I can stick at the inlet and outlet of the box, and that can shoot the readings over to an app on my iPhone. I want to get alerts for any high temps, just in case things get too hot or there’s a fire risk. Price is a factor too. Any recommendations would be super helpful. I've noticed some devices have their own batteries which won't work for the exhaust side, so that's a bit of a problem. Thanks!

no such thing as cheap. but these two would possibly work. special router https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01N17RWWV/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00? and sensor https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01AEQ9X9I/ref=sspa_dk_hqp_detail_aax_0? the above allows access from the entire world. on your phone and or the internet.

The Antminer itself has its own temp sensor why not use that instead of using other devices to sense temp? Hashboard has 4 temp sensor and the ASIC chip also have its own temp sensor. So I suggest you run a laptop or PC in the local network and install Awesomeminer and set the rules to detect any mining issues and automate the task link below - https://support.awesomeminer.com/support/solutions/articles/35000085907-rules-detect-mining-issues-and-automate-tasks Then if you want to receive SMS or Telegram notifications you can check this - https://support.awesomeminer.com/support/solutions/articles/35000085912-notifications Subscription is very cheap compared to buying a sensor to monitor the temp of your miner and send SMS notifications.

Antminers itself has a temperature sensor. When you connect to the mining pool, if the temperature of your device is too high, your device will stop working. Usually, the mining pool app will warn you on your phone. At least in China, I don't know what mining pool you are using.

Thanks for all the responses guys! I am trying to be proactive with regards to temperature monitoring. Basically, trying to mitigate any major problems with the miners ie a fire etc through early detection. I'm aware of the built in sensors on the miners. Currently, I have one of my miners inside a box that I built for noise reduction and to re-direct the hot air for other purposes. I previously set up a remote desktop on my computers and have been able to remotely access the miner through the Remote Desktop app on the phone and also on another laptop. The problem with that is that there's no alerts. I would have to constantly monitor it remotely which is not feasible. Shortly after posting this post, I actually found something on Amazon that would work. It's not cheap. But it looks like it could work. It has a command box that needs to be connected to your wifi. It comes with two sensors that have cables that can be connected inside the box where my miner is in. So you can monitor both the intake and exhaust air temp inside the box. It sends signal to the command box via bluetooth which can alert you on your phone. So I was going to go with this option. I'm still factoring in on this. Because knowing the temperature inside my miner box is also helpful. But then I actually came across a software that was designed to do remote access/remote monitoring of your miner(s). Anybody with just a single miner to large mining farms can set up this software on a Raspberry Pi and use it as a pickaxe to allow you to remotely access and monitor your machine(s). It has the alert functions which can monitor and alert various parameters ie fan speed, various temperature ranges, power cost etc. It's actually pretty cool. It can send alerts to your Discord or Telegram and email. You can also config your notification method on your phone for those alert to specifically alert you on your phone via ring tone etc.
