Picture this: it's 2026, and you're a typical Gen Z guy. You're stuck in a neighborhood that's constantly buzzing with crime rallies, and each week seems to bring a new record low for safety.
You don’t have a girlfriend. If you do, it’s probably just a situation where you’re spending money on meals that break the bank, trying to impress someone who doesn't really care.
Starting a family? Yeah, that’s like Bitcoin’s mining difficulty, just going up and up.
And the food they’re selling? It’s basically poison.
At 25, you’re still living with your parents. Independence? That’s a distant dream. Adulthood feels like a never-ending subscription you can't cancel.
AI is changing everything about capitalism, yet you're still trudging through your degree in "Modern Philosophy".
MAN, YOU NEED TO FREAK OUT.
Anger is the only feeling that can really drive action.
Sadness just makes you numb. It makes you accept things. You’ll end up turning failures into personal pity party sessions.
If you’re just wallowing in sadness over this stuff, you’re only coping, not doing anything useful.
Anger? Now that’s a different beast. It pushes against the current situation and won’t accept it as the final word. Anger stirs things up.
You can be sad and point fingers at the system. Or the corporations. Or immigrants. Or whatever identity you’ve picked as the villain. That just leads to throwing in the towel.
Anger asks a crucial question: what’s your response to this?
No more keyboard warrior posts. No more empty discussions.
You need to focus on real actions. Build skills that matter. Do something.
Get furious about how things are now.
Find a way out of this dead-end that’s keeping you stuck, broke, and dazed.
You will either seize the life you want, or you’ll just fade away.
At least if you go down, you’ll do it with purpose.
This is the part that stick so hard in my memory. Reading through the entire post, I realised the reality of our time... the time of great distraction and confusion. We have never had a time where people are more confused as now, a lot of people have no clear view of what they future will be and not even getting conventional education bring hope or assurance because like you said, while people are learning modern philosophy, AI is changing everything. I'm a graduate myself and when I talk personal appraisal of how far I have gone, my age and what lies ahead, I'm always grip with fear and uncertainty.
Your suggestion is key, time to go back to the drawing board and find something worthwhile...
We should give a big thank you to the 3rd world shithole migrants, and in the USA to a certain demographic that should be not mentioned because it is "racism". The actual sadness lies in the fact that the latest and future generations will start to believe that this is normal, that it has always been this way, criminal, dangerous, full of filthy people -- when it was the complete opposite.
Some have even resorted to fake AI girlfriends. The desperation and delusions are unreal, just how many people are OF subscribers tells us the state of our times.
"You will own nothing, and you will be happy." This was the official party slogan that you must repeat 50 times daily in front of your TV, which records everything you do.
Most food is poison these days, in the EU it is a bit better but they developed a mountain of bureaucracy to improve the food a little bit. They are complete idiots, but this may upset some weak minded Europeans here. They are happily waiting for the CDBC, removal of cash and climate credit score.
It is useless and the easy way out, that is why most people chose it for perfectly normal things in life.
Yes, but there is a danger to it. Some people end up doing the stupidest things with their anger and justify their continual withering away through further bad decisions, because the "world is bad". Anger can be extremely productive, but it won't happen on its own. You have to make it happen.
I have this belief that usually we should try not to be influenced by our emotions
Though according to psychology the productive type of anger is assertive anger
So I'd assume that's what you talking about.
And like you said such anger demands answers seeks solution
And as long as the fire burn the will to fight remains.
I respectfully disagree, though I grant you that young people have inherited a shit-filled world being made worse by their elders who are currently running the show.
For any of the problems you mentioned, there are many possible courses of action and anger isn't the necessary spark to light the flame under one's ass to cause them to do something--not across the board, though it might be for some people. In fact, some people might combine anger with a feeling of helplessness, and what does that likely end up as? Depression. Substance abuse. Taking out said anger on the wrong target.
On top of that, I know plenty of people who just don't process all of those societal problems through an emotional filter first; they tend to look at things rationally instead, and if you can do that instead of getting angry and perhaps spiraling into rage (which isn't useful) you might find yourself thinking more clearly about possible solutions.
Note: I'm writing this as a hypocrite, because a lot of shit these days is pressing my berserk button like it was a PS3 controller. However, just because someone is a hypocrite doesn't mean they're wrong.
People are actually getting angry, progressively. I notice people are WAY less patient and so much more aggressive lately. But all their anger is thrown at things it should not be thrown at.
History teaches us something. Our ancestors fought so many times for so many things they thought will lead to a better World. And from that good intention we got to a point where we have weapons that could destroy life on Earth, we have what seems to be a more corrupt system than ever and people seem more asleep than ever before. Every single person nowadays seems ready to 'get angry' yet they only really get angry at what Trump and the News tell them to or they unleash their anger on Tik Tok comment sections.
The era of people who actually fight is in my opinion mostly gone. The best way we can fight nowadays is silently, although again, I expect that the most accurate image of the future is the one portrayed in fantastic works of art such as Orwells. The people who will fight for what matters will have to live like they are no body. The rest of the people, as in the sheep, will fight for what they are told to fight and they will think we are progressing toward a much safer, better, more evolved World when in fact they bury them selves deeper in a more restricted, controllable World.
But after all, getting the people either angry or scared is one of the ways to push for a more restricted world. Crimes happen all the time all around the World, some of them extremely brutal and sad but you often see only some of them get really shown and discussed about and coincidentally a lot of times it is followed by debates such as, should people not own guns? Should we impose a more surveilled and stricter Internet?
I would there fore advice the opposite. Stay patient, be the calm one while watching the rest of the people get progressively angrier. In the mean while, think things through and find a way to escape while the rest are still ALMOST crazy angry. If you take a step back and look at the scene you will notice that if you are calm, every body else looks like they came out of the psychiatric ward yesterday. Becoming angry will only make you more vulnerable in my opinion in front of the negative events to come. Some people act really well and take the best choices when they experience extreme feelings but most of us take the best choices when we are calm.
I also dont think this is the situation world wide. There are plenty of opportunities to make money nowadays , but those opportunities are different than millennials had.
For example , in Brazil lots of people make money in the internet selling courses or stuff like that. There is a big niche online to make money.
And there is crypto! This didnt exist when I was young.
Also, people who live in decent countries have lots of opportunities with the new technologies that are booming now. Such as AI and crypto. I can only imagine how much a good 25y old engineer can make in the United States...
You know my caption on the title was expecting something annoying that could even slam slap on my face just to get me angry but I think I got something else probably inspirational.
Yes getting angry in the encouragable manner could build a principled life where you can make decisions I mean it. To me the anger symbolizes the ability to accept challenges with being feared nor rw tempted.
I've also lost opportunities that invest in bitcoin earlier on I learnt about it because I couldn't afford the risks. So I had to let the rest of me and was like I am angry to myself giving blames to myself to why I haven't been able to acquire a portfolio of bitcoin but yet it's something I wished for but because I was too relaxed with my weak immune to bear the risks, I keep missing out but then I got angry to overcome the fear.
Here I'm today with a fortune of my bitcoin assets while though I haven't stacked to my goal. It's a live dream to be achieved.
Just matter of time which I can really afford because my anger is to resist selling on pressure and I keep holding without panicking relying on the past events and hopes bitcoin will always secure the bag in the long term.
Be angry in a sense because you have no control about the situation, yet you can control yourself in getting out of that situation.
And that's what the world goes, we have no control in what is happening in the geopolitics, what is with the economy and the inflation we're facing from time to time.
But being prepared to what we'll get into the future and getting invested with Bitcoin, that anger you have is going to calm down when your efforts and its results become visible. And this is how we're going to get out of this mess.
People are not angry. What you describe is not anger. It is observational frustration. People are tired & frustrated. Frustration is a passive response to prolonged strain, not an expression of rage. Most people are not angry. They are paralyzed by the algorithms that feed them infinite useless information. They are numb, and fed up with the system to the point they are cognitively paralyzed to translate their frustration into meaningful action.
And also, you can be patient and angry at the same time. When I say "be angry", I don't mean to hit your head in the wall. But do not accept the current state as the one you deserve. Begin planning how you escape. Manifest. To get those good things in life, you need to consistently apply force toward a direction, and to do that, you need to be angry for long periods of time.
There's literally no other possible course of action to get those good things in life, as a broke Gen Z. How can you even not be angry about everything the world looks like right now?
Besides anger that can help you push the limit, one other thing that make people trying so hard gritting their teeth to grind and become better is the fear of becoming broke.
The Gen Z and Gen alpha likes to call it locking in, basically grinding so you don't fail in life. I liked the idea because by locking in people focused on what matters here. The same way people getting angry at their condition and try to change things around.
Ultimately by hitting rock bottom and realizing it that people will truly understand what it means to be so angry you just put everything to push yourself and find a way out from the gutter.
Words don't lie.. the society we are today makes it difficult for the coming genz to be productive. I see a lot of cripple old folks still sitting on positions where their medical reports clearly states that they should take some good rest.
I agree with your point. No one is giving the young ones chance to show their talents. It's a world still run by old grumpy men. It's enough to question the authenticity of today's society, but getting angry will not solve the problem. It would only make things worse.
Instead of getting angry, sad and stuck in ones head, try to be fine and think of ways to solve the problems at hand. Being in your adult hood doesn't mean you still can't do it, it simply means you should do better..
Nah man. Youre doing it all wrong.
Dont worry. Be happy.
Getting angry will take years off your life and engulf you in negativity.
Live life with the goal of making the lives of others better and watch karma go to work for you.
Yeah, that's displacement or the 'kick-the-dog' phenomenon, which I alluded to in my previous post:
I don't know where any of you live, but I haven't seen that many anger/rage displays when I've been out and about. Could just be missing them, because it seems like everything important is swirling down an enormous toilet.
What happens when anger and silence both achieve nothing? I've gotten screwed recently by a bank, a brokerage, and a large online corporation, all of which created ridiculous ToS shit that absolves them of everything and allows them to steal your money. I got angry during some phone calls and guess what? Didn't help. Being calm and defending my position rationally did nothing either, so how does David fight Goliath these days? How far can one go?
Coming from you, that is fucking laughable.
This post sound like one motivational speech session of Eric Thomas, I think it was from him I first heard this, anger is like a driving force, it pushes you not to keep accepting the life that you don't want, it makes you believe that you will and you can archive that thing you want and even if you don't achieve it all, you will get something out of the action you took to make yourself better, anger makes one to challenge their self to do it even when it seems uneasy.
literally everyone is not happy with his situation and the system he finds himself in. the difference between the people that are making headway and others is that the successful ones are building bridges with the stone life throws at them rather than falling down because of how hard life hits him. sitting back and complaining of how hard life presses you will only end up keeping you stagnated instead of helping you gain a very good stand.
The way i take life is that i do not see myself as one special person that is different from the rest. i just accept what is the reality around me and try to find a way around it. if you are not ready to pay the price and to actually do something out of your life in the midst of the economy that is actually as bad as this in all respect, you are going to just walk through life filled with regrets and wishes that never comes to pass.
Getting angry doesn't resolve things; it worsens them. Getting angry doesn't give answers to the things, it makes it worse, making someone not having the clear picture of what started or left.
Someone dying for a purpose, let it be a purpose that someone can emulate, not the one of being known for taking things forcefully without understanding why things are the way they are, whether is it what to take up lightly, and to rely on it for future financial growth
This is so beautiful, nice motivation, I love the part where you said, anger ask one thing only, what are u doing about it , that is the best quote, in any situation, being angry at the circumstances is the best driving force to propel you forward, it makes u get up and running towards what you wanted, it's gonna help you drop your lazy acts, self pity mind, victim playing life, and face the issue head on without looking back.
I agree, we should get angry, I remember when I was in junior high, and I had a friend that was into this girl, she was at the top of the class, he approached her with my encouragement, and she hit him with, I'm the 1st how can I date you, what's your position, we are not on the same level, that got me angry, and I told him then and there that I'll take that position from her,u friend believed.i could and I started studying seriously for the first time in my life.
Although she transferred out.to another school, but she actually ignited a flame in me that changed my educational life forever.
