Let’s talk about which older miners might be worth picking up in March 2024, ignoring the newest models.
Both new and second-hand options are fair game.
We should think about a few factors like:
RELIABILITY some brands or models are super dependable while others might fall apart after a couple of years, and some even have issues with heatsinks coming loose.
COST & WATTAGE for instance, would you rather spend $400 for a 70TH miner (3300W) or $400 for a 48TH miner (2200W)?
MODIFYING like swapping heatsinks or tweaking under/overclocking to lower power use while boosting Watt/Hash efficiency.
Feel free to share any links to spreadsheets or sites with calculators for efficiency and stuff.

Ever seen this one? https://www.asicminervalue.com/ I think unless you have solar or score a deal on a cheap miner it would be best to look into a gekkoscience miner or a bitaxe supra or ultra.
USB miners are highly inefficient and mostly for learning purposes, im looking for ASICS of 2500W+ like S19s etc.
Thanks for the website

Your power cost is important.
Noise factor is important.
Durable miners are important.
I have 8 whatsminers
two m10s
two m30s
four m50s
seven of them are perfect and one has a dead board.
they are durable easy to control remotely. you can downclock them if it is hot.
the m10s are not efficient but cheap and durable. if you have very cheap power they are okay.
the m30s are more efficient but cost more if you have cheap power they are better.
the m50s are better but cost more if you have a bit more costly power they would be the choice.
m10s do 31th
m30s do 96th
m50s do 110th
what I like about these are the free remote software you can down load.
if you have any desk and the whatsminer software you can instantly control the gear from any pc in the world . i would recommend them if noise is not an issue .
if noise is an issue s19s using braiins with a down clock can help. as fan control works well if you down clock.
s19j pro underclocked with braiins, people get low 20s W per TH efficiency and even lower is possible
Thanks for your suggestion philip
Powercost and noise is not an issue for me, luckily, Although I do have power limitations
Your m10s,30,50s, asicminervalue has them as much different hashing rates? 31th, 96th, 110th VS 55th, 85th, 126th
Are you down/up-clocking differently?
Would you say whatsminer provide more durable long-lasting asics than antminer?
Thanks BTCSolo, gonna look into this, are you familiar with any other underclocking asics? even L3s for example
