So, I’m using this nerdminer 2 USB thing with vkbot.com. But when I try to connect my wallet, I keep seeing this error: Address is not found or not active, try again in a few minutes.
Anyone know what could be causing this?
I think we need more information to provide more detailed suggestion or help. For example,
1. Which one show that error message? Nerdminer 2 (the mining hardware), vkbit.com (mining pool) or your wallet software?
2. Does it work previously (you can mine and vkbit show your address do some mining)?
Anyway, i would speculate there's something wrong with your Nerdminer 2 configuration. Have you tried using different Bitcoin address (that you own) when configuring it?
I heard nerdminer last December I don't think it is actually a Bitcoin miner the open source code didn't mention what algo that this miner supported so we can't be sure if the pool supported this unit.
According to the open-source code there is a pool that support this unit why not try it first to mine on that pool here's the link below
- https://web.public-pool.io/
The open source code can be found here https://github.com/BitMaker-hub/NerdMiner_v2
If you have other issue I think better bring the issue from their github page.
Thank you so much for the answer. I tried https://nerdminers.org and it works. I get stats

Your main problem was that the nerdminer's hash rate is in the low kHs range. Most pools require at least a few GHs or they will treat the miner as inactive because it takes too long to submit even 1 share to the pool.
That's a pretty low hashrate now I see the reason why you can't mine from VKbit pool even on other solo pools like from CKpool like the above said you can't mine with this current hashrate.
Usually, most of the solo pools only accept hashrate of more than 1GH+ and also the pool that I provided above is the Bitaxe pool and it should work for any small miner like yours.
