So, Trump is talking about possibly sending troops to Nigeria to tackle those Islamic terrorist groups. This isn't something African nations should ignore. Nigeria is already dealing with serious security issues, and it’s no secret that both Christians and Muslims there have been suffering. Thousands have lost their lives because of these extremists. The government has been trying to deal with it, but these terrorists seem to keep coming back.
Now, I'm definitely against terrorism, but can we just talk about how absurd it is for one country to threaten another like this in the 21st century? It's really something that should be criticized. If you look closely, these terrorist groups appear to be getting a lot of outside support, and there have been suggestions that the US could be involved in that too. This is a crucial moment for African nations to step up and start working on a better future for themselves and the generations to come. I mean, can you even imagine the US threatening to deploy military action against countries like North Korea, China, or Russia, no matter what security issues they might face? Those countries have built up their own military strength and have nuclear weapons just like the US. It’s a similar situation with Nigeria, as the US also has its own security concerns.
