Hey, is there any way to set up Antpool for mining with Braiins on an S9j? How do I get the worker configured? I've been digging through this forum and other sites, but can't find much info. I added the pools, but I don’t see any active workers showing up on my Antpool dashboard. Also tried to set up Slushpool on my S9j using Braiins, but none of my workers are showing in the Slushpool dashboard either. Followed their instructions to the letter, but still no luck. Thanks ahead for any help!

You might need to wait a bit a few minutes before it shows up on the Antpool dashboard also sometimes if there are extra spaces on the pool URL it does not work and make sure you have the worker name and pass. Here follow this guide How to configure miner If it doesn't work would you mind sharing with us the logs from your S9j unit I think Braiins OS has two logs the kernel and system logs you need to copy both of them and share them with us here? And maybe we can see the issue from your logs.

Why on earth would you want to use Antpool? Please do NOT, it is a rip off. Regarding other pools, you are probably making a mistake somewhere, post a screenshot of the details you entered.

Thank you for replying, the reason I'm trying to mining on antpool is because I'm close to the payment fee, so I can just finish it and change to any other pool.  Also it looks like the S9j cannot mine on any other pool, it may be something wrong but I did most of the stuff they saying to add pools, create workers etc. Thank you for your help Logs for Kernel

I'm not so familiar with Braiins OS but you have so many errors under system logs(OS error 2) which I think are related to your firmware. The miner program might be corrupted that causes this issue. Weird I don't know what is this "can't connect to remote host (161.35.82.213): Connection refused" did you buy this as a used/2nd hand unit? I suggest you try to flash the firmware back to the stock firmware through an SD card and let us troubleshoot it with the original firmware. You can find the original firmware here "SD card images"

Braiins OS works with any pool. Minimum requirement is that the pool supports rolling version, as seen in pools with asicboost. Yes, Antpool works fine, not like i would recommend it, but it does work. The error looks a bit strange, try reinstalling (bos-toolbox uninstall/install) or if you are running from SD, flash the sd card again.

Hi, thanks for the replies and the information you guys share.  The unit was purchased through Amazon as used.  I tried to figure out how I can return the original image back to the S9j, however I cannot figure out how to put the files to the SD card, since this is not an image.  I download the Disk utility from Bitmain but still not luck. Thanks!

Hi there, you definitely should reflash the image. As i also do run some S9s pls believe me --> u dont want to go for stock bitmain firmware Its like raping hardware for no reason except burning energy like u dont care. I tried different firmwares for S9s and realized very quickly that even if there are Dev Fees to pay for runnin Braiins+ firm its so much more efficient in tweakin the chips that even 5% fee would make it the best choice But a look at your logs are telling me that there are some strange bugs keeping your miner from starting successfully It could be that some or all of the hash boards had been replaced and that herefore some special parameters needs to be reconfigured But there are other reasons why u dont want to ramp up a used device that u bought online as it is: *surprise* malicious changes in firmware, like: -poisoned DNS --> it may relay all your shares over a proxy that your seller controls, which may steal a x % percentag of your shares he/she/they are submitting to a pool of their choice. they maybe wait for weeks/months before they slowly take action. Also that way its possible your router gets tricked in rerouting other interent traffic that way. Maybe session tokens of your social network login or mail or even banking sessions could be infiltrated -reverse shell backdoor --> your miner is opening a backdoor for that guy and normally also informing the bad guy/girl every time your IP address changes or connection is reestablished about the new conn details. That way he/she is not only able to administer your miner but access every other device inside your home network like he/she sits next to you patched to your router via LAN cable Its same like buying "used" smart-bulbs. There are hackers only buying a bunch of them to reflash them with malicious firmware and then hand it back to the dealer. The clueless dealer resells them to hopefully many individuals. And *baam*  they have direct access to every household that screws in such a bulb after they have it connected to the wifi. If you dont believe me, see for yourself as there was a talk about it at 35c3 i attended live to: https://youtu.be/DfsPnvf3INg U see: U definetely want to reflash the device with a fresh and clean firmware You can do that! If u need assistence please feel free to ask here or leave me a pn So pls stay safe and have a nice day

No, you don't need to download any disk utility just download only t9+-SD Tools.zip and extract the file with 7zip and after that, copy all extracted files and paste them to SD card. Make sure that you have already formatted the SD card as FAT32 and then insert it to the control board SD card slot don't forget to change the jp4 jumper to enable flashing through the SD card. If you can't follow my guide then try to follow the whole guide here "S9 series (S9, S9i, S9j, S9 Hydro) Control Board Program Recovery" Once you've done flashing with that firmware go back to bitmain download page and look for s9j firmware and flash it through the browser to revert it back to the original firmware. Or you can flash it directly with S9j SD card recovery image.rar extract them and paste it to SD card this time you don't need to flash it through browser because that is the default firmware for this unit.

Thank you for all your help, I did re-flash the miner, however now I can't get to pass the Cheking fans, even if the fans are running.   Forgot to mention that I did test it with 2 other fans I have and they were working before.
