Hey everyone, I'm just starting out with Antminer and electricity. I’ve got a NEMA 5-20 outlet that should be around 240 volts. What kind of adapter do I need to hook it up to my Antminer S9? Any tips on adapters, cables, etc. would be awesome. Thanks a lot for your help!

You should have a look on this page : Choose the correct power cord for your miner (https://support.bitmain.com/hc/en-us/articles/360018041153-Choose-the-correct-power-cord-for-your-miner) Here the detailed specs for each Bitmain PSU : https://support.bitmain.com/hc/en-us/sections/360002496033

NEMA 5's are for 125VAC - NOT 240v. 240VAC connectors are NEMA 6-x so you had better make sure what the voltage is. The connectors look similar but the horizontal and vertical blades are on different sides so they cannot be accidentally plugged into the wrong mating half.

Yes but... You must NEVER have the 2 PSU's feeding the same hash board. Connecting multiple PSU's in parallel will result in them fighting each other and eventually things go poof rather quickly. Use 1 PSU to power the controller and 1 or 2 hash boards (turn this one on 1st) and the 2nd PSU to power the remaining boards.

I think that you should have A powerful PSU like 300 bolts and you should also run only 1 Antminer on this PSU Because it will be a total benefits for you. There is a lot of guidance and you be redirected here too. https://www.bitmain.com/

To connect your Antminer S9 to a NEMA 5-20 outlet, you'll need a power supply unit (PSU) that is compatible with the Antminer S9 and can convert the 240 volts from the NEMA 5-20 outlet to the appropriate voltage required by the miner. Antminer S9 typically requires a 1600W power supply unit, so you can search for a 1600W PSU that has a NEMA 5-20 plug, or you can use a NEMA 5-20 to C13 power cord to connect the PSU to the outlet. In any case, you can find these recommendations on the Internet, and then you decide how to connect.

Folks, NEMA-5 plugs and receptacles are for 120vac NOT 240V! It is the NEMA-6 series that are for 200-250VAC. Of course they are not interchangeable.
