So, Whatsminer just revealed their latest machine, the M30s, on Twitter. It’s hitting 88th at 3344 watts, but we don’t know the price or when it’ll ship yet. Honestly, though, 38j/t is pretty impressive. I’m all for seeing some healthy competition in mining, and I think the price will be the key factor to watch here. Let’s see how this plays out for Whatsminer.

Interesting. But the way it's worded in the tweet it sounds like the 88T may be at a full speed and the 38 J/T may be at a low power mode. If that is the case, then at full speed this thing could be pulling over 4kW! I can already smell the electrical fires.....

video shows 3359 watts an 88500 hash pretty impressive. But I am not a fan of one cable for 3350 watts

Just went back and saw that and was about to edit my post but you beat me to it. Yeah, still a lot of power for a single cable. Pretty much requires you to go 240V. 208V is over 16A , right near the limit of the C19. Although I did see a m20s running when I visited my host a few weeks back. I felt the power cable and it wasn't warm. I think they are running 240 though and the power cord looked really beefy.

I run 2 m20s I run 1 m21s I use this cable https://www.ebay.com/itm/L6-30P-C19-Molded-Power-Cord-10ft-220V-250V-30A-Ships-Free-/202821644944 12 gauge my volts are about 225 so 16 x 225 = 3600 watts this is very close margin of error. all three units get a lot of air. they are all near 3  3000 cfm fans I would be afraid to run 20 or 30 of these units this is before we added these fans  the three big miners are not in place yet but would be on the left of this rack My fear is  20 or 30 units  will be risky. I would not mind one or two of them.

LOL they can barely deliver their m20 and m20s's on time.  Idiots.  I'm sure it will be a idiotic (PREORDER NOW, 8 MONTHS DELIVERY) and you will get it 2 months late.  By that time bitmain will have 20J miner out and lower price.  Yea, screw whats miner.  My m20's are finally arriving tomorrow...that I ordered in July.

Makes a lot of sense, the last time I had to buy a Whatsminer M21s I had to get it from a resellers in China to avoid the misery, I think I paid an extra 100$ compared to buying it directly from Whatsminer but i heard about the delays and stuff so I took a safer route, non of the Chinese resellers I know of complained about not receiving their gears on time, seems like Whatsminer put those guys on top of their list and screw the rest of the world  Having said that I do think that they will get their shit together this time if they do want to stay in the market and not lose any more clients , anyway so far they haven't announced any release data or price, if they can bet bitmain's prices I might be willing to take the risk of getting an M30s just to review it.

My m20's finally are running and doing well.  The company itself is what went down south this year.  They dropped the ball hard.  I won't be buying whatsminer next year unless in stock ships same week.  Never doing a preorder with them again after this drama.

I mean do what I did. You can flip your m20s upside down and you can actually cook your breakfast on it... I cooked 2 eggs and scrambled them on my M20s. You need to think big picture it's an amazing hot plate that ALSO mines crypto.

Have you tried other manufacturers such as? BitmainCanaan / AvalonInnosilcon Those are the three well known companies beside pangolinminers/MicroBt ,firstly try to get the gears from their website directly as it's usually cheaper, if not then try to source trusted rellers, it's really not a rocket science, it's pretty simple. The market place is full of resellers, most are probably scammers so make sure you use escrow.

For 2019  Whatsminer was okay for me..   But I have not ordered much from them after my July delivery. The prices rose and the preorder time went far out. No 2019 builder was  truly perfect for me. Bitmain was almost.   about 23 good and 3 so so . next would be cannan  3 good 1 so so 1 bad then whatsminer   7 with no issues 4  with issues. inno was the worst for me.  1 good    1  so so  it was late and pulled lots of power.

Guys, It is now up for sale! $2,430.00 38W/TH and delivery March 20 – 30, 1.5 months (-ish) to halving. But, 1 cable to pull 3268W ± 10% worries me alot as a home user. https://pangolinminer.com/product/whatsminer-m30s-with-psu/

Wow, another big power boy, and the efficiency just keeps getting better. The current load is indeed quite close to the nominal max. current (16 Amps) for the C19 connector. But the power consumption is quite the same as with the M20S. I did not notice any alarming heat in the C19 connector with my M20S.

Just for the record, max rating on the C19/C20 depends on which is used - International or North America rating - and of course the wire size the cord has. per Interpower (who makes them) While personally I'd use the 16A rating, the N.A. rating of 20A does make me feel better about pushing it.
