It's been over a year of hard work and dedication. I jumped into a bunch of testnets, tried out different Monad dApps, and made loads of on-chain transactions.
I’ve also been active in the Monad community on both X and Discord, bouncing ideas around and helping others out. As a little thank-you, I got a Monad Card, which might boost my chances for the $MON airdrop.
There’s been buzz from major exchanges about listing $MON, so this could turn into one of the hottest airdrops this year. The hype around Monad is really picking up.
Did you get involved with Monad too? What do you think is gonna happen when $MON launches?
I think about two things that can happen.
Either the coin is pumped by some people, the price will increase but later they will dump it at any price. Many people will buy it late and lose money.
Or the coin will be listed and it will start to fall.
I can not be interested in such coins because I am seeing many of them and seeing how they are and which is what I have just explained.
Its like we can predict what's going to happen since most of these tokens are only good at first but suddenly end up bad then ripped lots of those people who buys late.
But somehow there's some chance that only those people participate on their airdrop activity will get lucky to earn some profits.
So lets just see if we can see some nice pump from this project and we will not see any usual hype token which ends up as scam later on.
yeah bro Monad is one of the most hyped airdrops from early this year along with Bless Network & Gradient network. alot of people have been active on the testnet and community tasks just like you and the team kind of seem serious although they went silent for sometime but at least it is better to build in silence!!! if major exchanges like binance list the token right after launch!! the price could pump hard at first but as always after the hype there can also be a quick dump!! especially given the way the market is at the moment so it is smart to plan ahead!!! whether to hold long term or take profit early. I also participate in it so hopefully we smile at the end of it
It's been months, I wonder what could be the outcome of their mainnet.
The testnet is very hyped, a lot of apps and tools have been made and hoping that this one could grow organically since it mainly focuses on how SOL started.
idk if this the start of the airdrop, someone verify this https://x.com/monad/status/1978083577666416849
a lot of people aren't eligible for the airdrop even though they have thousands of transactions in the chain, prolly error stuff since they've posted this just 6hrs ago. ff on this, someone update this. Thanks
edited: turns out that only few are eligible and the community is angry right now. check twitter for rants
Airdrop checker is live and it's good.. positives sentiment from x.. deposited mine to Bitget already, probably there could be extra rewards.. Binance could list it too so let's see how it goes.. for now, it's looking good ngl.
I was initially excited about all the early programs of the Monad (MON) project, but as time went on, the community was disappointed by the developers. Since then I've never followed the developments that occurred there, unexpectedly finally the time for TGE came. But that's only the happiness of those who've consistently followed everything there from the start, not those who've been disappointed by the developers (like me). I think I'll only take advantage when trading goes live.
If I was to create a Token (Altcoin), what are some of the technical/development and financial also law and regulations side of things would I need to keep in mind?
Seeing the sentiment, my bet is that there will be dump on day 1. People are taking profit and they're airdropping big chunk to defi players.
if the coin happen to be pumping then it's good for them.
But learning from 2Z (Double zero) where VC allocation is massive and community doesn't even get a dime. The chart is straight dumping. Same thing could possibly happens.
I participated but I was not eligible. I thought I would be eligible because I met all the criteria but I was not eligible.
If it comes to binance then the price will be quite good. Everyone is expecting a lot from it. Let's see what happens in the end.
I see a lot of people talking about it, and seriously, the project is really getting some hype. With this hype, it's very possible for the project to do well at first but maybe later, it will turn into a dump project. This is what is happening in the crypto industry nowadays with a lot of projects. Many projects have gotten this kind of hype when they were not yet listed, and they really did well once listed. But later, they seriously dumped. In fact, nowadays, most investors are not even ready to hold these kinds of coins for the long term especially those projects that do airdrops. Most of the people who receive the airdrop hardly hold the coin; they end up selling it early. Some big investors also do not hold the coin nowadays. Once the coin is listed, they are ready to sell and take their profits. So, let just prepare for both the good and the bad of what might happen when Monad is listed.
I participated in Monad but didn't maximize the tasks within its ecosystem, and ultimately, I'm glad I didn't waste my time on this project. 99% of Monad airdrop allocation isn't for the community, and as you know, only CT and large investors are eligible. From the beginning, the Monad project has only exploited the community to promote itself, a disappointment I've never seen before, and Monad is the worst.
When Monad was still a potential airdrop, I tried to find out how to get Monad and where to buy it, but the one thing I didn't like was the amount that needed to be spent.
That's why I didn't continue participating in it.
Now, as usual, those kinds of airdrops often have strong hype at the beginning, leading to a pump, and then a continuous dump later on.
It's just like the earlier projects that came from airdrops; their price has also fallen in the market now.
Yeah the fact that the preferred to give money to some defi users who have nothing to do with the community is pretty strange.
But I guess they've seen some metrics and decided to give out money to other community after weighing the advantage of disadvantage.
It's still ridiculous because the reason they can get this popular is because the free marketing they got from the community.
Had they disclosed that they won't be giving any cent to their community, I doubt they could get this much impression.
I was not in this forum last year that lots of airdrop projects were buzzing around the crypto community and I do recollect how many of my friends got seriously hooked into those numerous projects that promised rewarding their community massively from airdrop,
and people took their daily tasks and transactions tasks, executing it to the last day. What did they got? Dust. Same for those that bought large portions of the tokens before the launch date.
Today as I write all of this projects have dumped not rising again. They were all listed in many major exchanges, so my friend, that a project is listing in major exchanges does not prove it not going to dump.
I didn't take part in the Monad airdrop because in my early days in crypto, I started as an airdrop hunter. I did so many airdrops, and I was hoping I'd make a lot of money from airdrops, but to my greatest surprised, I didn't make one cent from airdrops. Nothing is promised with airdrops, so lower your expectations so that if the Monad airdrop doesn't favor you, you won't get bad or upset.
This company has raised a lot of funds so those who did its official airdrop are very optimistic about the airdrop reward and everyone thinks that they will get something big. It is expected that the reward of a big project will be big but I am not excited because I have not done any airdrop of it. But if it comes to Binance Alpha and provides some rewards then maybe I can get something because I have 255 Alpha points which I am holding waiting for a good project to come. But there is no guarantee that they will come to Alpha
You did well not to waste your time here. Although I could not make it regular, I did it for a few days at first and then I gave up. It's good that I didn't waste that much time but monad has really made the hunters work hard for their own promotion but they are not giving them anything good. Everyone expected something good from it but monad has disappointed.
Yup. I didn't do anything shit that would warrant me to be eligible for Monad drop. My past experiences with testnets were nothing to write home about (Zksync was my last testnet venture). I have a few friends that stuck with monad and right now they're eligible for a couple of tiers and I'm happy for them. Monad did raise over $200m+at one point last year so me thinks it would do well in the short term but in the long term, I don't see how monad chain is better than existing L1 chains like HyperEVM, solana or these move based chains.
I could be wrong too but it remains to be seen.
Oh mate you thank goodness that you have overcome that part now because for sure you may have wasted a lot of time because as we have seen those Airdrop and bounty Hunters for promised a thausends of time but in the end, they get nothing so I understand your frustration.
Best way is to focus on your DCA accumulation approach and have a long term expectation and preparation against the market, being greedy and wanting to earn something out of nothing is what take some forks to Airdrop or even bounty in the first place.
