I think there are lots of influential people in crypto but my answer isnt the most obvious one. Yes we have pblic figures who can help adoption with their reach but ultimately, the most influential people in crypto is us, the community. Without the little people, crypto would be nothing.
Many hate him for his policies and how he treats and bullies countries and people, but Trump has cast an influence in the cryptocurrency industry, which is part of why we are in a bull trend, due to his support for Cryptocurrency.
He called cryptocurrency an additional form of cryptocurrency, and even hinted at the possibility of challenging the centralised financial system.
As long as he remains in the office, his words and actions regarding cryptocurrency, whether positive or negative, will have an impact on the market. I dont know beyond after he is out of the office, but right now we enjoy his support.
Of course, Satoshi is the main one because he is the one who opened the door to the crypto world as we know it today, but I think the context could have many interpretations regarding your intention.
Everyone you mentioned is very influential in the crypto world. Look at how CZ has been building Binance for a long time and forming a solid ecosystem for Binance, making it the first largest CEX in the world and still going strong today. Vitalik can also be said to be very influential because his breakthrough in Ethereum has created a lot of room for much broader innovation on the Ethereum network.
In my personal opinion, when it comes to impact, the founder of Ethereum is the most influential figure in the crypto world, considering it was the first successful altcoin project and remains ranked second on CMC. Trump or Michael Saylor are merely followers who are adopting this new world.
Honestly, the words of "most influential" can be very subjective depending on people's perspective. For me, the most influential person in the crypto should be Satoshi. Crypto won't exist without him and Bitcoin. Just look at how massive he influence not only our life, but also our paradigm about economy.
Other than him, i named Saylor as my 2nd most influential person in crypto. Seeing how he is yapping about Bitcoin everyday for years, that guy should be awarded as one of Bitcoin OG.
I think it goes far beyong the "little people". I mean, whales and influencers are usually the ones who fuel the hype. Without them, crypto would be a ghost town. It's their influence that has attracted "Wall Street" and mainstream governments into the space.
Of course, there are certain people who have a large number of followers due to their wealth and years of experience within the industry. CZ and Michael Saylor are one of those people. The more popular crypto becomes, the more celebrities and public figures will join the craze. I wonder who the next influental person will be? Jim Cramer? Only time will tell.
I think Vitalik and CZ are the most influential crypto celebrities. Donald Trump is a known political figure but he's also got the influence that the market needs. But if it's about the knowledge, there is no doubt that Vitalik and CZ goes to the top. And it's also a plus that we're proud of them because they've been in the forum once and have been part of the community. And even people that are not so fond of crypto known these crypto figures that have been so influential and contributed a lot to the growth and adoption of it.
Recently, I think the most influential one was Donald Trump if we take into consideration the massive boost in price Bitcoin received right after he won the elections in USA. Like it or not, Trump was an impacting marketing factor which favoured Bitcoin on that moment, probably more than any celebrities or developers could impact.
Another event which marked me very much was regards Elon Musk when he stated Tesla was going to stop accepting BTC as payment method, due to Bitcoin mining being harmful to the environment. That speech contributed to a crash in Bitcoin price (I think it was in 2022). So, Musk is also a very influent person in crypto industry.
In my opinion, the fact there are influential people in this industry who aren't developers, but politicians and speculators, is a big issue...

There are so many influential figures when it comes to cryptocurrency, and these people have created impact in the world of cryptocurrency, and people believe in them because they have proven themselves to be gurus when it comes to cryptocurrency.
These cryptocurrency influential figures are even capable of influencing the cryptocurrency market, people like Elon Musk, Jeremy Davinci, Vitalik Buterin, Donald trump etc, because of their massive followers, their interest in any particular cryptocurrency becomes the interest of their followers which can lead to price upswing of that particular cryptocurrency.
The 4 figures you mentioned are figures with strong influence in the crypto industry, but they come from different sectors. For Vitalik Buterin & CZ, they're both figures who fully understand this technology & industry. While Michael Saylor & DJT are figures from the financial & political sectors, they don't fully understand the crypto industry. For the figure who has the most influence, from my observation so far it's Elon Musk, let's debate if anyone disagrees .

I think the familiarity will depends on where we are following since for sure lots of people here have different opinion towards who are the most people in crypto this year.
But this site cryptoweekly have their own list on who are the top 100 people famous in crypto see their names here https://cryptoweekly.co/top-100-people-in-crypto/
Can't agree nor disagree on what you have said somehow Elon is so famous especially that he made a great stint in US. For Bitcoin users for sure that lots of people would say that Michael Saylor is most famous personality for them.
Famous & influential are 2 different things, everyone knows Justin Bieber, but does he has any influence in crypto industry? I've seen the list you provided & I see Paolo Ardoino at #7. Honestly, before I saw that list, I didn't know him, even though I regularly use the stablecoins his company issues .
That list isn't wrong if we're referring to people who have contributed their thoughts & efforts to advance the industry, but if we're referring to someone who's a game changer, it should be Elon Musk or CZ. I'm surprised to see Richard Teng ranked so much higher than CZ, it's a mess.
If you'd asked me in 2022, I'd have said Elon Musk, even if his crypto knowledge seems to be very limited (or he doesn't share what he really knows). But he moved the prices back then like no other person.
But in 2025 the picture is quite different. Some candidates:
- Luke Dashjr: A controversial ex-Bitcoin Core developer and now the lead (only?) dev of Bitcoin Knots, I think his contributions are net positive over history but he has the ability to also generate a huge negative influence, like we saw in the "OP Return wars".
- Gregory Maxwell: Another ex Bitcoin Core developer and one of the original Cypherpunks still active in the community. Can be controversial too, but generally has reasonable stances. Often does the "dirty work" of defending (some) more unpopular Bitcoin Core decisions in the wider community.
- Jameson Lopp: Every now and then a post pops up of this guy and generates a lot of discussion.
- Michael Saylor is probably not as influential in the core crypto space itself, but of course in the wider "crypto-based finance" world he is probably the defining person.
Donald Trump was a top candidate in 2024 but now his influence is a lot lower I think. CZ and Vitalik have in my opinion also lost a lot of influence, not many people talk really about the latest Ethereum developments for example, but of course they're still in the Top 10. For 2023 and 2024 I would also include Casey Rodarmor, the Ordinals and Runes inventor, although his influence imo was also net-negative (even if probably not intended).

All of them fall in the category of crypto influencers. People like CZ are influencers that their statements makes bold moves in the market and affects the condition of the market to some extent especially tokens backed up by his Binance. Donald Trump is just a political figure which his likeness to crypto makes him a figure that holds a very big influence in the market since his assertion on the seat of the president.
Even if you dont want to believe all what they say of the crypto market, the effect is mostly being felt quickly before the market will get back to its normal trend again. Whether you as a crypto lover and enthusiast knows their words wont hold the market for too long, there are many institutional investors that rely most on their news to make decisions of their holdings, so they always have their own short term impact in the market and sometimes, the effect stays longer than expected.

I think that the most influential person on crypto at the moment always change, it was vitalik back then, elon musk, michael saylor, and right now it's CZ because his perpetual DEX called aster is the hot thing and he's up trying to beat hyperliquid.
It definitely shift with the current hype. Saylor can be tweeting how he's bullish about bitcoin but I think the influence won't be as big as current CZ. It's rather dynamic.
Personally, I'm curious to see how they update their activities with the knowledge they share. While sometimes difficult to understand, at least they motivate me by believing the crypto world can transform one's economy. If wealth is the primary motive, I don't think that's appropriate, as there are many far richer people out there to follow, but it's pointless to just view their posts for show. I find the knowledge and information they share useful and can help me better understand the volatility of the crypto industry.

Everything has an influence in any case, but in my opinion, it depends on which coin they are promoting. We often see CZ promoting BNB, but BNB doesn't move that much. The same goes for Vitalik; if he talks about Ethereum, he can't pump it anymore, and the same goes for Saylor; there won't be any impact with the coins he often mentions in his activities.
However, if a coin has no additional value and these big names make a call on it, it will generate a different kind of hype. For example, Vitalik with Shiba, Moodeng, and others, and CZ with Aster. I think if Saylor did the same with a coin that still has a small market cap, it would cause a pump and make the coin go crazy with hype.

Even though this is an altcoins discussion board I beg you to go off topic a bit, because you seems to mentioned all those who have promoted one form of coin or the other shitcoins, but you forgot to mentioned the most influential cryptocurrency figure in person of Satoshi Nakamoto the developers of Bitcoin and all the foundations of the crypto revolution.
Well, most bitcoiners aren't much of a fan of Luke Dashjr. He was the developer who proposed censoring Ordinals inscriptions on the Bitcoin blockchain. The idea was quickly turned down by the community, as it went against Bitcoin's censorship-resistant ideals. I remember how Bitcoin Core developer Gavin Andresen used to be an influential person in crypto some time ago, only to become history after saying that Craig Wright is the real Satoshi. Even a guy like Elon Musk can lose influence in the space for no reason.
The thing is, people follow what's trending at the moment. If the influential person doesn't add more fuel to the hype, it will be replaced by another one. Therefore, the influential persons we see now, might become history in the future. At least we know, crypto will carry on as usual. Only if it remains decentralized, of course.
The most influential person in crypto land is Satoshi Nakamoto.
No one can dethrone the king, forever, the others you have mentioned are in this crypto world for the money and they have made a ton of money.
