That’s not entirely correct. Soft-forks work differently. A chain split isn’t the same as with hard-forks. And what’s wrong with being straight?

BIP-110 won’t cause a chain split. Blocks will be rejected like usual if miners push invalid ones.

Nah, all coins remain fungible. There won't be a special version for BIP-110. Holders will have the same coins after the soft-fork.

I think proponents just want to highlight how important this activation is for them. That's why they keep posting.

True. I mean, there’s that one transaction with malware that was tweeted about. Pretty wild stuff.

Hey everyone, I'm a supporter of BIP-110, aka RDTS. It’s set to roll out in August 2026. I run my own node and have a keen interest in Bitcoin's security and economics. Just your average guy here, living straight and…
Sure, plenty of code is out there, but BIP-110 blocks a lot of things that could be useful.
Ultimately, node runners will decide. It’s the miners that matter in the end, not just Core or Knots.
Core will stick to the chain that has the most Proof of Work. Knots can do whatever it wants.
Satoshi's ideas have evolved, like with Lightning and Taproot. If you ask me, a fork from Bitcoin is more likely.
We could take other actions if we need to.
