Things feel pretty uncertain right now. There are folks claiming we're on the verge of a bear market, while others think this is just a typical 25% dip before Bitcoin shoots up to new heights.
Personally, I’m leaning towards this being a regular pullback on our way to those new highs. But of course, nothing's set in stone. With the four-year cycle seemingly behind us, it’s tough to gauge the market these days. The situation seems to shift week by week.
QT is wrapping up in a couple of weeks, and QE should kick off early next year, which is a good sign. Plus, we just went through the longest government shutdown in US history these past six weeks, which definitely created some market jitters. But now that things are back to normal, it should help.
As for me, I’m just holding on for now. I picked up a little at these lower prices, but not a ton, and I’m not in a rush to panic sell. Honestly, I’d regret selling now if the market bounces back than just holding through a bear phase.
What’s everyone’s take? Are we in a bear market right now, or could we realistically see new highs soon?
You should ove this thread to the Speculation board, lots of similar questions happening there > https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=57.0
Buy Buy Buy or Sell Sell Sell
In this market situation, should everyone be patient or sell?
2026 what should we expect from Bitcoin in terms of price
There is also that possibility of we are having a 2008-like recession. Remember markets were at their ATHs before the FED started the QE during those years. Everything was priced in like QE was already in place, similar to the position we are in now. Then the moment the FED eased its monetary policy, everything came crashing down. Btc and the nasdaq hits their ATHs before the QE, during the QT and nowadays everything is crashing even though we are expecting the QE soon. That makes me wonder if we are having a dejavu. Either way btc and the stock market will eventually recover from it so you dont need to worry about anything unless you are carrying any leveraged positions which is a very very dumb move regardless of the situation btw. Just dca btc and chill, in a few years you wont even remember this that.
Difficult to tell for sure, we can only speculate and give reason based on what we think or believe the situation to be. If we are in a bear market or not would probably depend on how low it falls in the next couple of weeks to months. However, if it shows good signs of recovery and we go above $100k, then we may start looking up again.
You know we can analyse macroeconomic strategies all we want and how it would affect the price of BTC, either positively or negatively. But at the end of the day we still have to wait and see how it all unfolds to understand the situation we are in. Anything before that is simply speculation and could be very wrong.
Buy as much as you bag can take the f you have the spare fund's to do so, Bitcoin present price is somewhat an opportunity for those that missed the previous lows to cash in some portions, most of the current speculation is viewed at upwards price direction, and that shows the profits potential for those that buy Bitcoin at the current discount price.
I am not in a rush to buy Bitcoin at current price of $95k as although i believe we have one more leg higher past the current high of $126k i do think we will go a lot lower in the next bear market whenever it will be and thats when i plan to focus on buying more.
Where ever you are leaning towards the market doesn't really care about that, the market will do what it wants so you can speculate like the many already speculating but still we wait for the market to decide.
I will join you guys in speculating and I don't think we will see a new all time high this month or next month but we may see it early next year which is fair.
The same as you, I'm also holding and as you've said that the market is hard to read because it's always been. This is why it's unpredictable at most times. I think whichever is going to make you feel good, do it. If you think that missing the point of selling during this bull run isn't good for you and it will make you feel better to hold through another bear market, that's you. No one can validate that feeling and decision of yours but only you.
Well, it came from you that it's hard to read so no one really knows what's coming. But I am looking forward for some reversal before this year ends and I hope it happens.
We are obviously getting into a bear market right now and I must say that it doesn't feel or get better until it is over. Such a cycle has to come so that those who think Bitcoin is all talk and price increase would have a real experience on how it's price action and market movement often affected by speculation behaves.
Am still going to stick to my DCA strategy and hope for this bearish season to end because it must soonest.
Believe this that this is not just peculiar to you alone. as the market moves in certain direction, it brings with it doubts and uncertainty of where we are headed any moment from this point. the bear gives an impression of further pull back and at the same time suggest that a bull can be be the next thing to see going forward. as an investor, what is expected of you is to either stay invested during the pull back or opt out due to fear. the former gives you an higher chance of reaching your investment goal faster enough while with the later, you have automatically minus yourself from those that can potentially get better positioned when the market recovers fully and go into a new ATH.
ATH of Bitcoin by early next year is not even guaranteed that we will see it by then. We will just be speculating differently at time intervals, hoping that the market will be in our favor to make gains before the bear market kicks off.
Funny as it is, the market doesn't follow our prediction or care about what we think of her. It will do as it likes, whether to go bearish or bullish at any time
The market is gradually moving towards recession. For those who were expecting good returns at the end of the year, this decline will definitely be one of the reasons for losses. Instead of panicking, one should be patient. Those who have the ability to hold their breath will be able to recover the price in a short time, even if they face temporary losses. I believe that no matter how bad the market situation is, it will definitely recover. If the market recovers, it will definitely be able to reach new highs again. Moreover, there is no way to say for sure if the market is heading towards bearish right now.
I dont know maybe its just a normal dip or we already entering the bear market, but if you are holding bitcoin, just keep on holding, even if bitcoin price drops lower than the current price, its going to bounce back, even if its going to take some time. So also if you are having intention to invest in bitcoin, you dont have to panic, you should start doing that now, just make use of DCA strategy, and as we can see bitcoin price is already low, you will be able to accumulate bitcoin at cheaper price.
Dont panic that maybe after investing, bitcoin price is going to drop more, as long as you are planning to hold for long term, then little changes in market isnt suppose to disturb you. Bitcoin price is dropping, but there is nothing to panic about.
My expectations were that a cut in interest next month would push the price of Bitcoin to another ATH. I am now sceptical that a cut next month could be the turning point because last month's cut had less impact. The price of Bitcoin is affected by political and economic issues making it unpredictable. Investors who want to sell should just be expectant because the market can move in any direction. They might have to postpone sales if the price keeps dropping, if they don't want to incur losses.
It is okay to feel very optimistic of the market but you should also know that nothing is certain and when we are being realistic with one another, the bull run already served its time and now is the time of the bear market. We should overlook more of the conditions that makes us feel of a probability of a bull market still happening now, we should focus on the real case scenario of the market now, the bear market is imminent than we can imagine.
I am more lean to us already in the bear market because the bull market already served its time and has achieved a remarkable growth during that period. It is better to expect the worst now from the market which is the bear run than actually expecting another pump in the market that may never happen. If the bear season comes, it is fine to hold through that period as a long term holder and if the pump still comes and a new ATH is achieved, we can still expect to sell that time.
I believe we're slowly entering into the period of bear market. A few hours ago, I was posting on a prediction topic for 19th of November and Bitcoin was valued at $93,000, and it's currently down to $91,000. That's a relatively major change, as volatility has decreased the past few months, we're not seeing such major and rapid changes. If that's the case, the four year-old cycle is slowly coming to an end and it's likely going to take years before we see any great improvement.
If you don't mind waiting and holding on your coins, that's okay, but it needs quite a lot of patience. I'm already holding for over three years and it is quite tiring.
P.S. Move the topic to the speculation board.
I think we are heading towards a bear market and I believe in a 4-year cycle, besides Bitcoin has been on top for a long time and now it's time for Bitcoin to go back down, the decline will continue to occur until it reaches the lowest level of the latest record high, maybe to $30-$50K, at that position we will have the opportunity to buy it at a cheap price but for the long term
As it stands now, the market is unpredictable as we are sceptical of the market move. All I can say is this, since it is very low, if you are a long-term investor, now is the perfect time to bag more bitcoin as you can because you are sure of your profit after a 4-year cycle is completed. Smart investors would take advantage of this opportunity to hold their ground while watching the market.
Now is the right time to buy more Bitcoin. This is not a financial advice, as you are advised to do your own research before you invest.
At this time of the season with how unpredictable the global economic events as shaking in, the only crypto coin am bold to hold for long is bitcoin, at least for what it is, we can:t really guarantee other coins future as much as we could do with bitcoin in the long term. It's not about holding much bags but holding the right coin which can survive the likely recession effect the global economy is gradually walking into from the unjustified economic wars.
For now, I still think for the bitcoin market we're not yet done completely with the bull market, there could be just another highs before the bears. Whatever happens, a long term holding is just the safest option right now.
The market is at a crossroad at the moment, although I'm still bullish until a certain level is breached. My point of interest, just like everyone that loves technical analysis, is $84k and when this point is breached, then I will be expecting price to retest the 2021 high of $69k. This will break a lot of people heart but the market will do what it has to do.
