Looks like it’s happening BTC dominance is on the decline, and we all know what that usually hints at... Altcoin Season might be just around the corner! After a long stretch with Bitcoin steering the market, there are signs that cash might be flowing into altcoins. Here are some points to consider: 🔹 BTC dominance has dropped below crucial support levels on multiple charts. 🔹 The ETH/BTC pair is showing some strength again a classic early indicator of an altcoin breakout. 🔹 Memecoins, L2 tokens, and DeFi projects are already starting to see 20-50% gains in just a few bursts. 🔹 The vibe on social media is changing quickly crypto Twitter is buzzing about alt setups once more. So, I wanted to get your opinions: 💬 Are we really stepping into alt season, or is this just a brief cooling-off for BTC? 📈 Which sectors (L2s, AI, RWAs, GameFi) are you keeping an eye on for those big moves? 🧠 How are you adjusting your portfolio with this potential shift in play? Would love to hear from all traders, builders, and holders. Let’s share some insights.

Just zoom out What drop are you talking about? These are the statistics: source ---> https://coinmarketcap.com/charts/bitcoin-dominance/ The dominance rate is now 62.8%. If it drops to 50%, then we can say that the altcoin season has begun.

From which percentage did bitcoin dropped from to 62.8%? The fall is very small and the small percentage is almost taken up by Ethereum that dropped to 7% but now at 9.16%. Ethereum rose very well before bitcoin later got to all-time high recently. But what is surprising is that ether was at $4111 when bitcoin first got to $109000 in January of this year but now Ethereum at $2640 or so when bitcoin get to $111500. Also I do not see any altseasons.

Well said, this is well explained and by seeing what OP posted at first, i was shocked to hear that bitcoin dominance is dropping and i was about making research to present a chart like this before seeing hugeblack already have done so. I will advise that we often make research about a particular aspect before talking on them or creating a thread on what we know less, if not for anything, you can as well consider the bullrun and all time high just received as a reason for its increasing dominance as well as what the stat might have said, the more the reason we do encouraged that when posting threads like this, you insert a reference backing it up.

Altseason is not here yet no, it will arrive when Bitcoin tops later this year. Many Altcoins will do 10x to 50x & maybe more but I do not see that happening anywhere at this moment. Stay patient, Altseason is coming & lots of us will make extraordinary gains. Keep your eye on Bitcoin for an idea about when Altseason may begin.

They always think about that once BTC dominance is dropping together with its price the alt season would start. But actually we don't really know on where it would start and also I think its not gonna happen these days since people provably are more focus on further developments happening on Bitcoin. But if they want to follow the thread somehow CMC have altcoin season metter and maybe they could check it day by day if the numbers will raised https://coinmarketcap.com/ For now I would be more focus to follow on Bitcoin rather think about the possible alt season to come.

The problem is that there is no clear definition for Altseason. In general, it is a collective rise in all altcoins against Bitcoin (another definition of a decline in Bitcoin dominance). However, this does not mean that altcoins will rise in isolation, like Ethereum or Solana, so it cannot be benefited from.

If you're posting where we can all access the data better, show it to us. It's very seldom that Bitcoin dominance goes down to the 50% level and checking it now, here is my stat, apart from all the rest of the members that posted their own screenshots. It's okay to shill the altcoins, but not at Bitcoin's expense, and based on facts, not speculation.

Yeah, we are not entirely certain if we are there already. We may have reached that level already or maybe we still have some time. But, we know that it is going to be tough if we are not careful and because of that we can make a loss at a great time when we can make a profit. Making profit during alt season is easy, the hard part is to figure out when is the alt season. When it starts to look like it is going to be alt season and bitcoin is dropping a bit and everything else is green, that doesn't mean alt season has started already. It just means we have done what we could, and we need to take some time and be careful and watch if we are actually at altseason. If we are, then we can make a better approach to this, should not be bad at all, just be patient.

Every other day someone makes a topic or post like this, and each and every one of those individuals is stupid. If someone predicts this every day, someone will eventually be right. Not because they knew, but because they were lucky. Yes, there is no indication that this has been happening. I disagree with this. A lot of altcoins have fake market caps, and they keep being printed at an exponential rate. This dilutes the dominance by a lot. If you were to properly analyze the situation based on liquidity and the exclusion of things that are not cryptocurrencies, you would probably find that Bitcoin has a dominance of 80 to 90%.

-2% from before the dump isn't really "dropping fast" calling it like that would be a stretch and hyperbolic. In fact BTC dominance is retesting resistance after dump, it reminds me few months ago where people were calling for altcoin season only to get slapped by BTC dominance sudden surge. The BTC.D looked like it's about to dump but suddenly surge and make most of altcoin going down so bad reaching new all time low.

Right, I don't know why the OP is very excited, although I might have the idea why. As we have seen that the altcoin market is not the same as Bitcoin in terms of this cycle. So a bit of changes like in the market dominance is big for them. But if you zoom out, there's nothing crazy about this numbers. On the contrary, Bitcoin hit a new all time high, while the altcoin market is still way behind their previous high and it seems that they have a hard time getting back their investors as obviously, most of them are into Bitcoin market now.

FYI the meme coins, L2 tokens, and defi sudden price rally isn't really rally, it's recovery, as for meme, maybe some of them got big rally, but as I can see from the chart it's just recovery after dumping 80% of course they gonna go up eventually.

Whatever chatbot wrote this post for you gave you outdated information. Ethereum had a big pump a few weeks ago, but since then, Bitcoin has made a new all time high and outperformed altcoins in general. Bitcoin dominance is still at its highest level in many years. It might occasionally decrease by small amount temporarily, but it quickly recovers, putting to rest any speculation that we are entering into an altseason.

You are very correct sir, the chart above have actually said it all, the dominance of Bitcoin over alt coin and meme coin is just too much, and I still feels like anything above 40% is still very high in my own opinion, but nevertheless, in the coming weeks, let's watch and see what's going to happen in the market, because what am seeing in the market right now, is like we might not have an alt season in this bullrun, but I would be very happy if i am wrong in the end.

We haven't entered altcoin season yet. This is just a temporary BTC cool-off. Perhaps, the declining dominance is due to the launch of new altcoins. Like new coins and/or tokens taking a decent share of Bitcoin's market dominance. Not existing altcoins rising in dominance themselves. While BTC went to $75k recently as a result of promising developments in the US-Iran negotiations, altcoins are still below their last-recorded ATHs. ETH hasn't even crossed $5k yet. Altcoin season is going to take a very long time. I'm keeping an eye on the AI and RWAs sectors, as those will be the ones that will "boom" in the future. I mean, the AI hype is still on-going. And BlackRock announced its intentions to make use of RWAs on Blockchain a while ago. Investing into projects making use of AI and RWAs, might end up being a huge win for you in the long run. Just do your own research and you'll see what I mean.

Just slight drop in a bitcoin dominance means nothing. The altcoin season index also shows 37/100 from coinmarketcap. Although my altcoin holding showing some good sign of life I doubt we are nowhere near altcoin season. Need some good pump before I could even recover from my losses holding altcoin this whole year. If an altcoin season just means my losses are recovering a little bit, that's pretty whack of an altcoin season needless to say.
