https://www.forbes.com/sites/digital-assets/2025/06/04/no-china-did-not-just-ban-bitcoin-again/ An article from two days ago. But even if there was another stricter ban, I really don't see this affecting the price anymore. As for the chinese people, I'm pretty sure they would find ways to acquire it regardless.

I agree and I strongly believe that this "ban" will only surface ontop,it's not really that deep.If China are so concerned and intentional about this, owning cryptocurrency wouldn't be so difficult for them;this means that people in China can keep crypto in wallets but they can't trade, mine or utilize exchanges.

Generally, bitcoin has gone past the days when a country will ban it and it will crash 50%. As at present, no other country will ban bitcoin and it will have an advance effect on the price except USA. Just because US is at the head and top of the hype now due to their pro-bitcoin president and the strategic reserve implementation.

Why care about china's ban when US is trying to make bitcoin as a strategic national reserve . China's ban is the last thing i'd worry about.

Somehow I don't fully believe if China finally ban Bitcoin. I guess they are playing some drama like before. That is because when other countries and big companies trying to accumulating Bitcoin, they just ban it and not allow their people to have Bitcoin. The other scenarios that can happen is China prohibit their citizens using Bitcoin but their government buying Bitcoin secretly. So only the government have Bitcoin while their citizens can not have it or could only have in a small portion of Bitcoin. We need to wait for the next news from them so we will see what is happen to them. But that will not be a problem for Bitcoin if China ban Bitcoin.

I completely agreed with this part of your post because now things are getting better for Bitcoin then how can they avoid this which is surely going to be profitable for them as well because predictions are clearly saying bitcoin is going to move ahead in coming days with 2026 can be record-breaking year. Strategically this is helpful for them so they are accumulating this for having some big game in near future but right now the best thing is wait and watch about this also because China had policies which are never been easily predictable for world in recent years they have done works which was looking not possible, but they have done. USA and few other countries are working of having better and improved policies for bitcoin and China is doing things against this which is surprise for peoples in crypto community I also agreed with this last sentence if now China are going to keep restricting ban still it's not problem.

Fully banned? What does that mean? That all the many many Chinese citizens who own crypto will now go to jail? That all the Chinese people who work in crypto will now have to give up that jobs? People have been talking really dumb all week about regulations and bans without knowing what they really mean legally, and what they mean in practice.

Not a blanket ban, they just ban people from mining it, trading it, using it as a payment method...they don't ban people from owning it. Chinese people still have the right to own bitcoin. What is the benefit of a government secretly accumulating bitcoins but banning it from its own people? Meanwhile, if we want the country to be rich and strong, we must improve the people's lives, "When the people are prosperous, the nation is strong". If the Chinese government really cares about bitcoin, they just need to legalize and tightly control it, it won't be too difficult for them. With them openly hoarding large amounts of gold for years and encouraging people to invest in gold. I don't think they would be interested in bitcoin, let alone secretly buying it.

Well, I remember an old meme I don't even remember how many times China banned Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies in the past. They are banning Bitcoin again and again. To be honest, I thought China would start adopting Bitcoin since the trade war started between China and the USA. But these stupid people started working on banning crypto again and again. I am curious when they unban crypto after banning it. Why do they have to ban again while the previous ban wasn't lifted?

I find this one of the recurring kind of "news" trying to FUD and drop the market a little more now and then. Some fall for it. Most are... getting bored of it.

About this I think we are no longer surprised. because China has banned this some time ago. Even when this country has the second most bitcoin after America. And the amount of bitcoin held by China is around 194,000 BTC. And yes, most of it is confiscated bitcoin. And seeing how many bitcoins have been confiscated a long time ago. So that makes everything clear that the country has indeed banned crypto trading activities and also crypto trading. But even so, I think we are no stranger to seeing underground movements in terms of crypto trading activities in that country. And the number of them is also very large. So yeah, if it's about China then we are no longer surprised to hear that. because we are used to it.

It's about time we stopped giving China unpaid publicity for nothing whenever it says it's banning cryptos. I'm not moved an inch if there's any ban from her. For all I care, I don't think China has any strong hold on cryptos anymore. After what China did to cryptos in 2017, I don't give a rat tail anymore with its continual threats to ban cryptos. Whether it bans it or not, we shouldn't let it bother us anymore. It won't even have much impact on price. China should wake up and smell the coffee. The bus has already left.

These are two major world powers that are going the opposite direction when it comes to cryptocurrency but why this particular ban will have no or less effect is that the Us presently is strongly in support of cryptocurrencies, so it is something we shouldn't beย  losing sleep about just as you have said already because the Us is more influential around the world than china presently.

No sources mentioned by Op, other than those mentioned by OmegaStarScream. If read the article, it says that there has been no official announcement from the authorities, that's why it doesn't have any impact, and it seems that the market no longer responds to such unclear news.

It's funny that the source as we know them is usually not a literal source but what they say is only like a rumour. Even if let say the news is confirmed, I bet it won't shocked the majority of us here because we already heard this news before. It may have a negative impact in the market but as usual it is only temporary. It can even be a reason for us to see a huge growth. Another thing I find funny is when some country or government bans BTC or bans it to the fullest now when crypto is not a new thing anymore and it shows strength already. They should be doing the opposite thing in fact. I still feel sorry for the innocent people living under them.
