It's already crossed the $1 billion mark in just a few days and I'm getting serious Base eco vibes for 2024. Do you think it can keep that momentum going? This is more of an NFA thread, so feel free to share what coins you’re looking at in this chain and why you think they're worth it. Personally, I believe CASHCAT is gonna be a big player, but it wouldn't hurt to speculate on some other options too. Drop your thoughts below.
Is the Robinhood chain here to stay or just a flash in the pan?

Robinhood chain is almost the same like base blockchain. It's basically a blockchain facility provided by its parent company robinhood. Robinhood chain operation is also being funded by its parent company, which is always recording positive result in term of revenue from year-to-year. So this is basically a long-lived blockchain.
I know you assume it's probably a short-lived blockchain due to the meme trend on it, but it will not affect robinhood chain's live.
Since robinhood chain fees is also going to the its parent company. When it has more traders, it's also generating more fees.
Yeah, I'm definitely getting that vibe, and I think there will be runners in this chain. Well, they are open about that coz Vlad is a degen, but I'm afraid that when they stop covering network fees for the chain this September, I think people will be shocked that the fee will surge, I think that's one thing some people are grateful for now.
No, it wasn't about the memecoin craze but rather the marketing they pull to lower the network fee, that was genius, but it has cons once expires, I guess not that much. It was just some people as well thinking that it's not great because it was just an L2, and they think Solana was still the place for memecoin trading. Nevertheless, it wasn't built for memecoins, but for RWAs, although folks have some ways to make it fun as always. Though I have some doubts about it, same as what Stacy found out with the rate of failed transactions: https://x.com/stacy_muur/status/2075175888245965285, I get it too, even just trading memecoins, which is kinda worrying tbh, although I know they will work in this, they are a huge company after all.
I saw the price of the cashcat and I shouted O Lord. What is this space turning into. If it was then, since we are in bear market, Robinhood chain will have a lot of attention and this coin they launched would be there in profit. The dump wouldn't have happened yet but the price was looking useless. How can it does -99% and other exchanges are still listing it or probably I'm the only person that is seeing the fall, the meme coin is a disaster to the market.
Until we stop launching these meme coins and look for atcuall problem and do something better. If a Dex is launched, those are utility coins that should be promoted but with full transparency. Not those type that you will hear that the team control 98% of the supply, the insider team were selling or some whale control the price, it will not help the Altcoin market but since Robinhood is still new and want to attract more people to their chain, we may see new wonders but I will be not joining.

Runs like this, especially in a bear market like the one we are now are only sustainable if free liquidity keeps coming into the chain every day or every few days. The reason I said so is because if no new liquidity flows into the chain, existing robinhood degens will get bored, sell off and move to the next best thing. This is why it is important to monitor inflows into the chain. I'm not part of the current robinhood run and I've made my peace with it. I don't want to be people's exit liquidity as I didn't even benefit in the first place.
I just heard a few days ago about this Robinhood Chain because it came into my FYP and some people in the community talked about it, and isn't this Robinhood chain a layer 2 network of Ethereum which for me is the same as other layer two if like that, I think if they are L1 like the sieve BNB Chain might be better in the long run and can create their own ecosystem that is much more independent because they actually have a money machine that is the Robinhood exchange itself as an opening for the growth of the ecosystem.
I don't know what CashCat token you're looking at but I don't think it was the one I'm referring. This is the contract address of the real one: 0x020bfc650a365f8bb26819deaabf3e21291018b4. Yeah, it's doubtful tbh and I see where you're coming from.
It has good volume tbh for relatively a new chain although I'm still monitoring if fresh liquidity is keep on coming as well. Never got a lot of tools to experiment on the chain but I think people are building it and would be great if I'll stumble on that.
Yeah, they are. Base was an L2 as well but they have their run. Vlad is open to innovations and who knows they'll develop that one. Being early has its pros and cons but right now positioning do matter if you're on the right community.

Robinhood chain will be here for a long time because Robinhood wants to own infrastructure and settlement layer for their future project of tokenizing US stocks. The meme coin hype is great but it's not the true purpose of Robinhood and why they deployed the blockchain in the first place.
They already have handful of plans in mind and they are here for a long term, wait until their tokenized US stock RWA matured, the blockchain is going to have huge volume.
