Polymarket might launch a token soon

Is anyone else here using Polymarket? You’ll probably be excited to hear that there are rumors about them potentially launching a token soon, haha. They mentioned something about $POLY on social media. $BTC $ETH $BNB $SOL $POLY So, there’s talk that Polymarket is looking to change how its prediction markets are run, and that could mean they need their own token. If Polymarket really does drop the POLY token, it might signal the end of UMA’s control over prediction markets. This could lead to a new phase where they manage truth directly. After relying on UMA’s 'optimistic' oracle, where anyone could propose outcomes by staking collateral and UMA holders would vote on disputes, it seems like Polymarket has faced some issues. There have been instances of manipulation by big players, contradictions from Polymarket, and plenty of community frustration. Now, they might be working on their own solution for resolving market outcomes internally. In theory, this token would work alongside the betting system: bets placed in USDC and governance done through POLY. This setup could solve a big problem that UMA struggled with: making decentralized truth harder to mess with while still being quick enough to be reliable.
