What do you guys think about this? MetaMask is now teaming up with PolyMarket to bring in its prediction market feature. Are there any investors or MetaMask users here excited to take advantage of this new integration with PolyMarket? For those unfamiliar with PolyMarket:

It's good metamask has already integrated with polymarket in their mobile app. However, i will never use it. As someone who continuously used metamask, their fees are ridiculous. You get like double fees when used their service such as swap router compared to the other wallet provider. So i said no. I'd rather bet on Polymarket directly instead of use poly in their mobile app with weird fees. I don't wanna be milked by them.

Polymarket now works directly with MetaMask, making it much easier for regular Web3 users.  And they trade on real-world events. You can connect instantly, deposit USDC, and start predicting without creating a new wallet. This upgrade makes Polymarket feel smoother and more familiar. However, MetaMask does have a few issues users should keep in mind like network switching can be confusing, gas fees can spike depending on the chain, and the interface sometimes feels overwhelming for beginners. Even with those limitations, the MetaMask integration still makes Polymarket far more accessible and more user friendly than before.

Matemask is heading gradually towards full Centralization since poly market is a centralized and license by the sec as predictions site, but metamask as a none custodial wallet may play a role in connecting both the Decentralized liqudities to centralized platforms like polymarket while this have it advantage we must also take look at the advantages that may come along, but all together this is a good development.

This kind of integration already being done by other wallet such as rabby and I see it as nothing special. Metamask itself is a very buggy wallet despite existing for a really long time sometime I wonder if they really don't want to fix their buggy mess of a wallet because they are trying to implement features that could profit them more.

Using Metamask to swap tokens comes with exorbitant fees which makes it not a good choice for Polymarket integration because not everyone will be willing to use that. There is also some reports of security concerns with the use of that extension which is a red flag also. So, I don't see this as anything special that will entice people because already, a lot of people hardly use Metamask due to many problems associated with them. Maybe some people who will be attracted by the flexibility it offers and who may be willing to ignore the risk it portend may use it.

This is a good development, but it would have been more preferable if they had integrated on other platforms too which would have allowed all transactions to be on low fee, I don't use metamask because of the issue of high fee which I experienced a long time ago, even when they introduced a new feature, I was reluctant to check on it because I find a better wallet.

I have also now moved to using Rabby wallet because it is simple and automatically adds RPC when connecting directly to sites that support certain networks. Metamask with its latest version is getting weirder and still bad about adding RPC. Although there is a feature that connects directly to PolyMarket in Metamask, it is still more efficient to go directly to the official website.

Adding all these features like perps trading and now a prediction market makes it seem like this wallet is getting too bloated. This will help them generate a lot of revenue, but it’s not something I’m interested in. I prefer a wallet with minimal bloat, that is focused only on being a wallet. Back when I was using Metamask, it lacked many basic features, like allowing you to see the value of your whole portfolio, including DeFi and staking positions. Eventually, many users abandoned them for Rabby and other wallets. I guess that’s why they are trying so hard to squeeze as much profit out of their current users.

I see no reason why should anyone want to use the overly simplified UI for perp trading and prediction market on metamask. You can just go to the real website. It will take 5 second and you got the complete UI that will make you a lot more comfortable which can lead to better experience and the good thing, no useless middleman fee charged by the wallet because metamask got quite high fee for their built-in swap. I don't know if they charged fee on this too.

Since they are owned by Binance. They've got more contacts and can easy do the integration for the bigger prediction markets like Polymarket. I think that every wallet needs to do that for as long as many of them have an increasing numbers of users. They have to widen the usage of their service and as well as be integrated with many other popular websites, services and even casinos.
