Hey folks, I created an OpenCoin (Ripple) wallet address way back in February 2013, I think it was through their website. Does anyone have a clue on how to get it back or know of any script that could help with recovery? I think it was linked either to a password or an email and password combo that generated the wallet.

I don't know the exact method for generating a new wallet on this site, but it seems odd that they'd use the traditional method of using email without providing you with a backup key. My assumption is that you previously received a backup key and then saved it in one of your emails (perhaps a draft or outbox). If your assumption is correct, the only way is to check all your emails in your inbox; there's usually a verification request message there from those years. Even then, you might still have a chance if the site hasn't been shut down. Still, I'm not convinced by your assumption.

I had the same situation with my old OpenCoin (Ripple) way back 2016. Here's what I tried: 1. Check old backups: Luckily, I had saved a backup of my wallet file from back then which made a big difference. 2. Tried Ripple wallet recovery tools: I found a few recovery tools online that help with older Ripple wallets. They only worked because I still remembered the password I used back then. 3. Contacted Ripple Support: I also reached out to their support, but without much luck. They needed more specific details that I didn't have. In the end, having a saved backup or remembering the recovery info is crucial. Without it, it's tough to remember an old wallet. Hopefully, you find something similar mate.
