I've been curious about ETFs for a while now and figured it was time to dig into the topic. But honestly, without some background knowledge, it's tough to follow the discussions out there. So, I decided to start this thread to share some thoughts. Before we jump into what the future might hold for ETFs and how they could affect small investors, let's first clarify what ETFs actually are. If you're into the stock market, you probably have a good grasp on ETFs. They're kind of similar to stocks, allowing investors to buy shares of Bitcoin, just like they would with other investment shares. Since ETFs function as a collective investment fund, it's known that there's a significant amount of money in these funds, based on info from several websites. But here's my big question: could ETFs have a negative impact on those investing smaller amounts? And what’s the outlook for ETFs moving forward?

Why don't you do a Google search and read few Bitcoin ETF articles and stock too, this will help you understand this discussion better as this is a Bitcoin forum and individual comments may differs, and seems to confuse in the end. But in terms of investors, Bitcoin ETF will definitely drive the price higher, and if profits is what small investors are looking for, that means their will be getting that from market.

In this, you're buying into organizational shares and stock markets and to hold them for a time being and make some profits in them, this is important to some people because they believed that the exchange traded fund are pegged in bitcoin market price volatility, which means, as bitcoin rises, they make profits as same when it falls, they are in loss. But there are terms and conditions to this and the rate of profits one can make, but I also asked, why can't we go directly for bitcoin investment instead of all these, or rather make them an alternative after investing in bitcoin.

An ETF holder is not a bitcoin investor, he could be could an investor in a different world but not in the bitcoin world! A true investor is someone who buys bitcoin directly, hold them directly in their own wallets with private keys to themselves and not someone who holds a paper with signature assuring you that you hold a numbers or figures in a paper yet you have no direct control over it. The impact ETF would possibly have on small investors as you call it is that, they will think they are bitcoin investors but in reality they are paper holders, and will be disappointed by the time government seizes the company they hold it's paper and their bitcoin or what they thought they had will be gone.

I don't really understand what you mean by small investment BTC ETFs charges fees for helping investors manage or keep their Bitcoins. ETFs good side is that they have helped boost awareness and adoption for Bitcoin And have limited the stigma of Bitcoin not being legal While the issue with them is that they infringe on the essence of owning Bitcoin, Self Custody.

Big money small money have nothing to do with ETF if BTC goes up, so does the ETF. People are overthinking too much while really BTC ETF is just representation of BTC holding and will roughly perform the same. Instead of owning the bitcoin, you just have the constitute for it through Bitcoin Trust.

ETFs were created so that the financial establishment could influence inflation and manipulate the prices of various commodities, such as oil, corn, wheat, etc. How this will affect Bitcoin . I think it might be similar to the way they influence gold. Bitcoin and gold are comparable in that they are both forms of money, but Bitcoin is a slightly superior form of money.  I believe the financial establishment may have similar plans for Bitcoin as they did for gold, namely suppressing prices and manipulating the market.

In agreement here. The UK banned ETF's and reversed their decision subsequently making access to ETN's available to retail from Oct 8, 2026. So they realised they needed to get on board to have a say. All about influence and control!

I have found out about some basic things by searching on Google and to know more fully I thought I would post this and since different members can make many types of comments here, I can get a clear idea about this by reading everyone's comments. Many people have shared their opinions here, I have read everyone's opinions and I have continued to try to find out separately, I hope that all together I will have a good idea about this.
