I've come across a lot of chatter about AI lately, and it seems like everyone has a different take on it. AI is really picking up speed and changing the way we think about work. Honestly, there isn’t a job out there that AI can’t tackle since its applications are everywhere and nearly every industry is jumping on the bandwagon. AI isn’t going anywhere; it’s shaping up to be a big part of our future.
But despite all its promise, some folks are worried that AI might cause a lot of problems down the line. They think it could replace human workers because it’s faster and more efficient. Is that really how it’s gonna go? That’s what I want to explore in this thread.
AI is great at handling repetitive tasks, but it can’t match human creativity.
What a lot of people miss is that AI shines when it comes to doing the same repetitive tasks over and over again. It’s built to execute specific functions quickly, which can be a grind for people. Think about things like sorting through data or spotting patterns those can take humans ages to do, but AI can breeze through them. However, it’s super important to remember that AI can’t replace things like:
- Creativity
- Emotional intelligence
- Building relationships
- Leadership and sound judgment.
AI is actually creating new job opportunities, not just taking away the old ones.
Studies have shown that with every major tech advancement, some jobs do get lost, but those breakthroughs often lead to the creation of new roles as well.
AI isn't gonna take your job

This generation initially thought that AI would be a threat that would cause most people to lose their jobs, but as time passes, it turns out that's not really the case. From what I've observed and seen, AI is actually helping people generate income now if they're just wise and positive about the help it can provide to anyone.
That's why we can notice that there are so many AI apps emerging just so we can see their unique functions that other AIs don't have - it's even making things easier that used to be difficult before, but through AI, they're becoming easy to do.
Once upon a time, people were afraid of steam engines They believed that they would take away their jobs and that they are scary in general. Centuries have passed, and the same fear exists now with AI... Centuries go by, but people don't change. AI will probably replace certain professions or certain levels of specialists. This is progress, and it is natural. But for everyone else, AI will become an assistant and a wonderful tool for improving the quality of life and work. This is progress; it has always been this way, it is this way now, and it will always be this way!
Workers should stop worrying about AI replacing them and focus more on applying artificial intelligence tools to their work tasks. These tools make the execution of work easier and more cost-effective. Now, almost all professions are benefiting from the AI industry. I recall when manual typewriters were used to prepare documents. The invention of the computer made typewriting skills obsolete. However, smart typewriters developed computer skills and kept pace with the trend. Humans will always be needed in every field, and AI will serve as an assistant to make task accomplishment faster.

Ai is making things to be more easier just as technology is making things more easier for people now, but is still believe that in time to come jobs that would have been done by humans can be taken by Ai instead of employing expect in that department they might use AI for the job instead of paying human Ai will so it without asking for money or you paying, in other other hand AI has also help most people get a job people now make money through AI.
AI would replace those who are not specialists in their field of expertise. Those who would be spared are the ones who upgrade themselves to use AI tools effectively let's be honest here. AI would make work easier and faster limiting the number of required staffs in a department to keep it functioning, so there may be reduction in needed manpower and few staff would be needed, those who would validate the output of the AI and work effectively with it to produce designed efficient results.
AI is a multiplier. If you are zero, multiply that by a smart ai (say 100 points), youll still have 0, nothing. If your base is 1, then you are as smart as what ai tells you to say or do. Basically you are parroting ai at this point. Many posters in the forum are at this level. If your base is 2, 3, 5, 10, 50 points
then the effect ai has on you goes exponential. Your creativity and ability to work explodes. AI is a tool. Just like google and any other web service. It is only as smart as its wielder. Garbage in, garbage out.
Smart and hardworking people will always be in demand and they will always land a job. Just because every fool out there has access to ai doesnt mean the gap between smart and dumb has disappeared.

Just like other advances in time past. The invention of vehicles, internet, caterpillars, tractor, and so on where received in disguise as some people felt it was taking over there job. But technology and science has only come to help and will continue to help not to replace humanity but to help humanity. AI technology is not in anyway different the order of helping humanity. AI is advancing and doing it's job fine but not replacement .

When you say Artificial intelligence frees workers from boring tasks, that is a lie. Look for example to what is going on with Generative AI, being used to replace artists and content creators all around the world and from many disciplines, artists love their job and they do not believe it is boring and repetitive, still they are being replaced by machines which do not hold soul or actual creativity.
Artificial intelligence is not about freeing people from unwanted labor, is about boosting profits for companies in the short and long term.
AI is still a threat to he security of so many jobs, despite that we have not gotten there yet. AI itself is a new technology that is still developed and its applications in various fields is still being tested so we should expect it to make huge impact on the labor market when these testing phases are over. There are jobs it cannot replace but those it will replace are in majority. Like I said before, give it some years from now you will see it happen.
Changes are usually accompanied by threats and opportunities.
Same is going to and is happening with the emergence of AI. Some jobs would become obsolete
And may require less human touch while new jobs would also be created
It takes understanding and going with the change to turn the change into an opportunity
Especially in this early stage.
It's very scary when you look at the whole thing with a bigger insight because I could remember like few years back, AI technology wasn't this good and even at this stage it's still very young and you can see the massive impact it has shown both negatively and positively in different field of life. In the field of entertainment and television, it's almost as if AI generated video are getting a whole lot harder to identify from the real life videos and all this is still in the early phase of AI tech. It's obvious that in time coming lots of competition and also opportunities will be open with AI technology especially in the field of jobs.
If that is the case, then why there are massive layoffs from tech companies? Some say they're replacing human workers with AI agents. All in a bid to save costs and increase efficiency. The AI hype is such that even smartphone manufacturers are integrating AI features into mobile operating systems.
So I wouldn't say AI isn't a threat to job security. Especially when we're talking about tech jobs. Other jobs would be at risk, too. But only in the distant future. The plan is to roll out AI + Robots to take over the world. The only jobs available would be AI Engineers, Software Engineers, and IT Technicians. Even Bill Gates predicted this. Bad times ahead for all of us.
AI isn't a threat. Frankly, those who consider it a threat are weak. In reality, AI makes human work easier and faster, allowing people to do other things while their other tasks are completed more quickly.
It's true that more layoffs will occur as humans are replaced by AI, but at least we will adapt to the situation and ensure everyone's well-being, even with the rapid development of AI.

True there are massive layoffs but at the same time many other skilled techies who are proficient in AI tools still retain their position despite the layoff that is to point out staying up to date in the field matters more than the skill itself.
The world will be at a complete risk of AI + robotics takes sole control of human activities and businesses. Things might go out of control if those machines are given minds of their own to think. The idea from my own stand point is that humans will eventually oversee their activities which will mean more job creation and restructuring.
Studies show that AI will replace 12% of all employees in the USA by 2030. Yes, AI might create new jobs, but I don't think that a waitress could work as a prompt engineer. This is a part of technological development. Some jobs become obsolete, while others are being created.
AI will only become smarter and more efficient, which means that more and more human jobs will get replaced by AI. Jobs that require creativity and other "human" skills. I really want AI to serve the greater good. We don't want movies like Terminator to be turned into some kind of prophecies about the future.

AI was a threat and it's a threat but at the same time it's a useful tools for the ones who know how to utilize it for good. Personally, I think other than that generative text AI or LLM, most other AI is useful and can be used to do tasks way faster than we were able to do before it. AI video generation is such a great tool that one can now create whole movies with it without huge budget.
It depends on us that how we use AI, if we use it for creative work then it's a great tool but if we misuse it to create posts for the forum or blog posts with it then that's not a good use of it.
I agree with you, Today AI is a powerful tool especially on business because if used well it can help them in making accurate predictions, automate repetitive tasks, and make smarter decisions based on data. I know that there are jobs that will be affected because of this but it is our choice if we will adapt to this changes because AI can make our work more handy. It is up to us on how we embrace the constant changes we are facing everyday
If individuals are resourceful enough, they will surely know how to keep up with the technology trends we have today. Even if we say that most of the people being laid off, if they use social media platforms along with AI apps, they can surely find a way to obtain profit or a source of income.
However, if an individual's mindset is just to be an employee, in my opinion, they will really feel threatened by AI. So it really depends on the approach and strategy that people will take. Because honestly, there are many talented people who, instead of thinking they will lose their jobs because of AI, used AI through various apps to earn money through social media platforms as well.
Every time when new development happen too many rumors accused and peoples always fear from this because they feel it's going to be had impact on their life and job, but this is always brought useful things because still many things to do with this and peoples also have new ways of income.
I personally feel this is never been threat because new technology are bringing improvement and also have good impact it's never create problems always needs to stay positive and have good view about them instead of going into way where peoples bring negativity and create chaos.
