when people are asked what’s something they can’t let go of while trying to save money, food usually comes up. everyone craves tasty meals, but is it really always worth it? in my opinion, absolutely not. eating out constantly? not worth it. don't convince yourself that just because food is a basic need, you have to splurge on pricey options all the time. there are plenty of ways to enjoy good food even on a budget.

When cutting budgets, you don't do that on food, because you need it, except if there's a need for some minor adjustments to what you spend and how the money is being utilized on good items but it cannot be excluded for any reason z because we need to eat and keep alive. From my opinion, I will first go to the living expenses on daily basis, make some cut where applicable especially on secondary needs, reschedule my budget and move on with life, it's worth spending more of food, but not all that you have in eating the food.

If you think that you don't need food, it is not on you to make that decision, have you ask your body? Lol. Your body will fail you if you don't give it food that is needed, it doesn't have to be expensive food because some expensive food are not even that healthy, eat in a healthy way and your body will always be in good shape. You can't cheat your body, how will you even think straight when you are hungry? How will you work very well if you are hungry? Lack of food have turned many into rebels and thieves, many people believe that been able to eat two or three times daily is a blessing on its own. Stop suffering yourself, you can't keep cheating your body for long periods of time, slowly your body will start missing good vitamins minerals, calcium and many more, stay strong and healthy before you chase money and success.

Your diet is very important because it is what makes you healthy, as is always said that you are what you eat, however you don't need to eat too expensive for you to eat healthy, I believe even the most healthiest food are not that expensive. So cutting cost means for you to stop spending on unnecessary things that ordinarily you used to. let's say you spend extra money on buying booze 🍻🍺, buying expensive clothes that are way out of your budget, and some other things that you don't need too, is the major examples of cutting cost.

Food is one of the most important elements in human life, but it doesn't have to be expensive, the important thing is that it is healthy. There are many ways to enjoy delicious and luxurious food while running a savings program or cutting expenses, you can try cooking yourself at home by looking for recipes online that suit your taste. Besides that, there are still many other delicious and healthy choices at affordable prices without having to spend a lot of money to enjoy them. As long as you are able to balance your desires with your long-term plans, you can still enjoy delicious food without having to spend a lot of money.

While cutting cost on food what should always be considered is how nutritional the food is, you can't cut down on your feeding expenses and the cut down on the food's nutritional value, at that point you are already causing more harm than good to yourself and that's not something we will want to do to ourselves, your food doesn't have to be expensive, if you want to cut cost then you can prepare the food yourself or don't go to overly expensive restaurants, there are cheaper ones that still offer good food you could use those ones instead, you can save alot from this practice.

There are many solutions, if we're willing, and there are many ways to do it, especially if our wife is a good cook. If we want, we can ask our wives to make it, as long as the ingredients are available, especially if we have a large yard and don't live in an urban area where there's no yard at all, although other options are possible. Nutritious food doesn't have to be luxurious or expensive; simple food is also acceptable, and our wives can buy it at the market if they don't have it at home. But, occasionally, if we have extra income, we can savor the pleasure of earning money from our work at the office or elsewhere if our wives happen to not be in the mood to cook and prepare meals for the family at home. The one who understands the four healthy five perfect menus best is our wives, and they are the highest and most powerful general at home if we have a family .

I don't know if there are any differences in each country. But where I live, expensive food doesn't necessarily mean healthy, but healthy food certainly isn't cheap. Healthy foods are significantly more expensive than regular foods, from 25-50%, even 100% more expensive, from vegetables to meat and fish. So if we want to have good food and ensure long-term health, spending more money is inevitable. Diet is a determining factor in our health, so I think spending on it is worth it. But it's clean, healthy food, not luxury food of the upper class just for show off.

Exactly, Well food is actually very important and vital for our health. but I think we should clarify it in the right way which is balanced diet. It's very crucial for us to eat food in the right proportion, because there is differences between foods and balance diet. our health is very important to be prioritise and eating anyhow food can cause a problem to our body system if care is not taken. Different foods have varying nutritional value and what works for one person might not suit another and may cause problems to them, that's why it is very important to eat or consume balance diet, because a balanced diet ensures we get the necessary nutrients, vitamins, and minerals in the right proportion to ensures and support overall health and wellbeing of an individual and it so boost our energy levels. Balanced diet reduces our exposure to the risk of the chronic diseases.

You need food to survive, have strength to task your brain and body for provision of other necessities of life. So you need to eat healthy not really expensive. If you eat the needed nutrients to your body, it will nourish it as the same way expensive food will do. Moreover, some food that is called expensive might end up causing you more harm than good to your body. Also it depends on where you eat the food that is called expensive. Some outlets where they eat such expensive food add up all the luxuries in that environment to make the food expensive like the facilities that make you comfortable eating the food that has same nutrients in other places that is regarded as less expensive like air conditioning, chairs, table, cutlery, the class of people coming to eat there, in fact the total environment. Those are what needs to be cut down if you need to cut down expenses when you are looking at such reduction. Eat healthy and have strength for smart work. If you are not healthy, you look weak and become unproductive.

Because everyone's definition of delicious food isn't always expensive. I think their unemployed wives can prepare delicious meals for a low cost. It's a different story if they're not good at cooking, you won't get decent food at home unless you eat out. For some, eating out is wasteful. For others, it's a survival mechanism. If you get an answer like that, then find out the truth first.

I find that many times people see food as a form of comfort. They think that no matter how stressful life gets eating something good will make them feel better, so they don't want to give up food even when they are cutting back on expenses but this is where the problem lies because delicious doesn't always mean expensive, another thing is that food is actually a matter of habit.  Some people are so used to eating out that they don't realize that they can make something good at home for less money, In many cases food is like a status symbol as if it's not expensive it's not really delicious. In my opinion, the smartest thing to do when cutting back on expenses is to reduce expenses while maintaining the quality of the food. That means you'll still have the taste but you'll also save money, you don't have to go to expensive restaurants and there's no problem if you go there occasionally.

Your question is vague which is apparent from responds you received here too! "delicious food" is not equal "food you eat at a restaurant" (ie. eating out). In fact it is almost always the opposite. Home cooked meals are much better and healthier as well. They cost less too since there is no overhead! So yes, if you are cutting costs you should cut going out to restaurants to "eat out" and start getting more home cooked meals which is better for your health as well

I understand what you mean, initially i was thinking you meant we shouldn't eat as we do eat just to cut down cost. Food is very essential in our lives it's when we eat that we have energy to perform any task or the do work, when a country economy is bad we can still adjust our spending on food but still ensure we eat well, some times less expensive food even taste more delicious that the one we spent a whole lot of cash to cook or prepare, we can also cut down the cost of food by making it our self at home than spending it in a restaurant, you spend more eating outside than cooking at home.

Sometimes there are foods that are cheap and tasty and there are also foods that are tasty but cost us more. I think it is the taste of the hand because new and old things also make a difference but the taste of the hand makes the food smell and look fun. Everyone has a different way of eating at home, but sometimes we get to eat foods that are not fun. Everyone has their own taste so no one should say anything, we should taste everything, which helps us get to know different foods. Yes, some people eat outside food, which prevents them from eating the taste of home. Therefore we mostly want home-cooked food, which also gives us strength and keeps us healthy.

There are basically two types of food we eat these days natural food and processed food. And of course, food is important to us as people, because we get hungry when we don't eat. And when you're in the city or in a civilized place, most of what we can buy are processed foods. But if you're in the province, most of what we eat are natural foods. And for us to stay healthy, we need to eat mostly natural foods, not processed foods. However, in this day and age, we can see that processed food is also everywhere, to be honest.

Food is a basic necessity of life and is far more important than every of the things we are accumulating wealth for. for a while, you have what it takes to survive without buying any new cloth or building any new apartment or even traveling to a new country but you see food, it is what keeps the body, soul and mind together. of cause, it is not advisable to be so focused on food to the point of refusing to plan for other things that makes it easy for you to feed well. if you even invest into other areas that gives you more financial supply, you have in the process solved the food problem and can plan your life without ever being bothered on where your next meal is going to come from. there can be instances when you will have to forego eating a certain kind of food just so you can achieve a certain goal, that is equally understandable but yet, food and i mean good food has it advantage to the extent of helping in the longevity of your life.

The emphasis should be on healthy and not expensive food. I know lots of delicious foods that are not good for human consumption yet expensive. Nutritious food is not always expensive, and there are alternatives to basic nutrients. Hence, you can cut costs by switching to a cheaper alternative instead of spending more on costly foods. Imported food is attractive but expensive in my country. We lack good processing and packaging services making locally made goods unattractive. However, if you want to cut feeding costs, consuming locally made food is best since they are cheaper. Food is a necessity but you can always reduce cost by consuming cheap but healthy delicacies.

I've been laughing since I started reading what you wrote and people's response. Food is worth it, and it will always be worth it. But what's not worth it is excesses and inability to tame your cravings,l. That's bad. If you earn well, you deserve to eat well and enjoy other good things of life. At the same time, you can still cut them. Just like the discussion I had with someone last week, I said I was working on how I could be spending far less than what I used to spend monthly, and I started immediately. Though it's not always easy, it's achievable. This is not about denying yourself the good things of life, but just cutting back at them. If you consume 30 to 40 bottles of beer a month, cut it to between 10 and 15. You can do the same to your treats and favourite foods. Lastly, eating outside is not the best, but many people may not have a choice judging by their nature of work. However, if they could, they should reduce that to the barest minimum as well.
