If you’re anything like me, you’re probably waiting for altcoin season to roll out with your alt bags and hoping for some nice gains... but the real question is when and where?
I’ve heard some chatter that if the Fed cuts interest rates, we could see a market surge. It kind of goes with what I’m noticing, since we’re seeing corrections in BTC and other altcoins. This could mean a bullish trend ahead. But, there’s also talk about a liquidity sweep happening instead of a true pump, which isn’t exactly great news.
Then again, there’s that saying to buy the rumor and sell the news... Not that it really matters if you’ve got your trading strategies down, but I’ve noticed that early listings can be a solid strategy too. Check this out: I’ve been keeping an eye on some listings, and I stumbled upon LINEA and AVNT before Binance listed them. Oddly enough, other exchanges like Bitget listed them an hour earlier than Binance, creating some arbitrage opportunities. I took advantage of that, and it just goes to show how being ahead of the curve can make a big difference in trade outcomes.
So with all the different ways to trade for profit, what strategies are you guys using besides the ones I've mentioned?
The strategy I will advise you to use when investing in the altcoins market is to dyor before buying any altcoins.
If you don't dyor you might lose your investment. If you are a trader, you must make sure you carry out analysis in the market that will enable you to make profits from the market. This is not fun at all and you don't have to add emotions to anything you are doing in the market. You could lose your money if you don't take advise while learning other ways to be tokens without losing your money to the scam ones.
Don't be driven by the sudden rise in price on newly listed coins, you'll be led astray if you continue to admire or try to chase and catch them, the best strategy is, buy when you get the information of the listing coin early, if you don't get the information, stay far away from it seeing it 24hrs after listing, it will ruin your investment.
If you find the coins to be promising, wait for the coin to retrace at least -70% off or buy after two months few weeks later when the noise is over, and enjoy the next profit.
Why i hate trading early listed coins is because, most of them have been listed in the innovative zone, their are sunbject to high volatilities and at the same time the trading fees on them is sometimes crazy high this is one of the reasons i stay away from the newly listed coins regardless of their pumped tendencies.
The strategy I have used in the past is to use your income to purchase altcoins you think are bottoming and then trade them for Bitcoin if they experience a period of outperforming Bitcoin. This has served me well historically. What I don't do is hold onto altcoins thinking they will ever be better than Bitcoin or adopted in any way. Maybe they will, and I certainly with I would have bought Solana at $8 and held, but for the most part I view them as hot potatoes.
My strategy is a sequence of four parts: HODLing, Staking, Derivatives, and Hedging.
First, I buy promising cryptocurrencies for the long term and stake them. Then, I use the staking rewards to speculate on derivatives. I generally only take long positions on higher-risk coins. Finally, I hedge the entire portfolio with Ethereum options and futures.
I wouldn't trade when it's a new listing anymore, I have to be quick like you and so the profitable one that I do is the very simple buy and hold strategy. I only have to wait and if I am already in profit, it's my decision whether I'll sell it or not. But not this time, I've been patient and learned things the harder way and that's why I am taking my time and not being in a haste because it could also repeat the mistakes that I've done before. So far, I am in profit and very satisfied but I don't think that I'll ever recover the former losses that I've made.
People can talk about taking profits too early & whilst that can be true, where you can miss out on larger profits, nobody ever became broke taking profits. Theres a danger of missing out on taking profits if you keep waiting for higher. You may end up in a situation where you get complacent in a correction that keeps going down, then you miss out on profits. Trust me Ive been there.
You are enter to buy while people are ready to sell, so don't get caught up in newly listed coins. Especially since they have already run an airdrop period in the past, so when they are listed, the price is ready to plummet. LINEA and AVANTIS, if I'm not mistaken, are projects that allocate token rewards to users of their ecosystem. It doesn't matter where you trade because if you look at the initial trend at listing, the price will fall.
About 56 years ago, newly listed coins on exchanges often experienced strong pumps immediately after listing.
However, this is no longer the case. These days, once listing news breaks, the coin often starts pumping on other exchanges
before the actual listing, reaching its peak beforehand. In many cases, when the coin finally lists on the announced exchange,
the price sharply crashes instead. For this reason, I believe that rather than chasing short-term listing hype,
investors should now take a longer-term perspective. Only then can these projects sustain themselves and foster a healthier ecosystem.
Although they say life is a risk, take it . But I won't trust altcoins to take such a risk. You are lucky that it worked for you but such kind of arbitrage trading is risky. What about if you bought that coin in bitget and before you could transfer to binance and wait for trade to open on it and it immediately dropped in price either due to bad news or dumping that happened in bitget.... I only do arbitrage with stable coin if necessary. Trading newly listed altcoins is risky, some people tried it with trump coin and got themselves to blame.
Definitely not a newly listed token or coin. Btc pair is preferable Holding btc is the best.
You cannot rely on rumors. They are doing this for the purpose of hyping the altcoins, but it's not real. You might just end up buying alts that will probably increase in value for a very short period of time.
Asking when? Well, we don't really know. The Altcoin market doesn't rely on the fall of Bitcoin anymore, which happened in the past. Today, there are stablecoins that will catch the sudden fall, and that's why it's hard to predict the market of altcoin when to increase.
Its really hard to rely on hearsay, though most of us are looking forward to altcoin season since the majority of people in the crypto space are holding a lot of potential altcoins.
Hopefully, we can all make a profit from the holdings weve been keeping for years.
However, theres still a risk if it turns out that the altcoins were holding arent the right ones, or if what we expect doesnt actually happen when altcoin season comes.
Thats why we need to be sure about what were holding as investors.
Rumors are said when the work backstage has already been done.
It's not worth it to take them as something worthwhile reacting to.
Only to see the crowd pump up / FUD.
I am still looking for that altseason but it's getting shorter and shorter timeframe that we have left, we still have time, but we need to start soon. Because usually the four year cycle means that we are going to end up having a bull run for the rest of this three months, October, November and December if we do those then we can do those but that's it then the bear season should be starting.
I believe that we are going to get a lot better but that has to be the most important part. We are going to get great results soon but that shouldn't really be that easy. It's going to be a crazy period but it is not going to be impossible for it to happen. If we can do this then when that happens, it's going to be a lot better.
Investing just because of the rumours might definitely not be the best solution but we can still make profits out of this. We just have to play smart and know which news is just a rumour. We can actually make a quick profit out of it but again, yes there is high risk involved so it is not recommended if we are dealing with fixed funds and are just aiming for profits.
Altcoins have turned out to be a riskier investment for me as I've just made profits in quite a few. Remaining altcoin investments ended up denting my portfolio so I've decided not to invest much into altcoins but to choose only what's trending on the top.
Altcoins are mostly following bitcoin in terms of a pump or dump so I would rather prefer having my investments in bitcoins instead of choosing any riskier altcoins. Few of the major altcoins definitely have potential but there are tons of altcoins now which is making it difficult to sort profitable ones.
Well I am not taking any profits with the alt coins right now. I do think there will still be a 'bull rush' for the alt coins so I am not selling any of my coins.
When the next 'bull run' does start for Bitcoin well then I do think I maybe will take some profits. But I do not want to take too much profit because I do know the alt coins will make alot of gains.
The altcoin season is already there but unfortunately most of the traders don't know it. It's not that all the altcoins are pumping, but the overall majority of the altcoins are at good high prices where one should take profits from them.
According to the below chart, the altcoins season index just touched almost 95+ and now back at 82. I am sure it won't stay here for long. Before most people will realize the altcoin season may already be finished. This is how the whales manipulate our mind and we don't take profits when we should

Some traders which i know has advices me that they says Altseason has been started since the beginning of this month and they says it is not impossible to gets 10x or even 100x profit from our portfolio if we can able to found the good project and if we see from the movement prices some major altcoin who can reach new peak such as ETH or BNB indeed i believe altseason has been started
About how to know early projects which potential for altcoin and got profit from that i think those who have been involved to the market for years has used this strategy for long time and before listed to the big exchanges usually some traders has been buy early and sell it when big exchanges announce which coin will be listing on their market but it's hard to found early projects from altcoin
